The thief class in WvW is a rather difficult class to play when you’re talking guild raids and zergs. A lot of guilds have already removed the class from raids and fights after HoT but some were still running it, because it was still viable in some way if you at least understood how to use the mechanics and had good teamwork from the rest of the group.

But with this latest “fix” I expect almost all guilds are gonna remove the class completely and that most players will not take the class to WvW unless it’s for roaming.

What am I talking about? I’m talking about the latest “fix” of a bug where you could activate Steal while not having an enemy targeted. This have been changed so you are no longer able to do so nor will it go off when you’re out of range. The thing about it not going on a short cooldown when out of range is good – but to have the thief class being viable in bigger group fights, they need to be able to activate the steal skill when not having something on target. The swiftness and few sec of stealth (if traited) is really important to us. Most players are playing so glassy builds and due to the weapons we have to go close to the fights. Activating Steal allowed us to take off some of the pressure in a fight or get away faster.

I really hope this will be changed back to how it was.

This mesmer – get a life really.. you tried to glitch into our hills but i caught you – you then went and glitched into Cliffside Tower but luckily we got you before it flipped. Really Desolation? can’t you win without glitching??? or is it just this guild? Jeeeez!

It’s not just that guild. This is how the ENTIRE server plays and wins each week. Shame somebody caught on, I wanted it to last longer oh well, good eye sherlock

But i am surprise that guild is gliching to cheat,but i think they are a troll guild tbh.
I hope the guild leader takes action against him though.

We all (well most of us on every server) try hard and play fair to get the points and loot bags,but there’s always one or two on every server that tries to spoil the game.

Well i’m glad that you’re trying to play fair – i know we all have guilds/players that have to cheat but the reason for my frustration is that this isn’t the first time, last week it was another one from another guild from Deso that glitched into Jerri. I will never get why ppl have to glitch and cheat when you have a chance to win without this low form of gameplay. My hope with this picture was that the guild leader would see what bad rep his guild is getting and will deal with it.

What should I say about our garri? First Deso megablob, then FSP, then Deso again.
And don’t you DARE even mention “guilds are blobbing up”, because all I’ve seen tonight is a 100km long FSP train made up of AoA and SOUL and PunK (or Kale, they are pretty much alike).

Pretty boring reset all in all. I’m fine with Deso, they do blob but they at least are honest about it. FSP on the other hand…

How about WBC + CROW + pugs blob at south bay than north east bay on your own border ?
Or how about TEO + whole GH pugs coming back to defend bay on FSP border ?

PunK wasn’t running with us tonight at all, AoA started late and we almost didn’t play when they did.

Thing is, not in a single post I’ve made in this thread I have stated that GH guilds don’t blob up.

I saw that CROW joined WBC in some occasions, as did other guilds with TEO. I was there.

The screenshot was taken right before another FSP blob broke in through the NORTH gate. In 2 minutes you were able to break 2 different gates (it was a wooden keep but it’s still something). My bad I am not able to prove that, but w/e.

The fun fact is that I am not even complaining, nor I did it yesterday when I was fighting. I simply accepted that fact. But some people here, on the other hand, have to complain everytime.

As to the “Think a bit before starting to throw guild names all over the place.”, I think you should explain that to your servermates too (read 2nd post of the thread).

So i have a question – when is a “blob” actually a blob? because TanK wasn’t more than 16ppl (or so) – is that a blob? TanK was the guild hitting north gate as you mentioned. Kale was 15 and we were 25 – are we all blobs? or just a guild zerg? not really sure when to draw the line.. And just for the record; we NEVER “ran together” – it’s called teamwork and communication between the guilds. for the screenshot, i’m still laughing at it. At that time we were 19 left, and i LOVE that it seems like you guys are so alone in bay and we’re just blobbing and hitting you – when infact you golemrushed hills with your own zerg (yeah, i tend to only use the word “blob” with 50+ more running together with 1 leader).

Thanks right back .. I remember a few fights we had this week. Some good fun (even saw a [CS] go down in the Deso fight in North camp you have in your vid .. not sure but doubt it was me, didn’t go down fast enough to have been me!).

I especially enjoyed the TS you had at the end of your video – sounded so much like the banter we have on our raids that it reminded me how, putting aside all the vitriol we have seen on this match-up thread, just how much alike we all are when we are in-game.

Being in [SOUL] is a commitment. We require from our members to be motivated, active and to respect our opponents. The guild comes above everything else you do in game. We are a tight group of players and we value team spirit very highly.

To enter and fully join [SOUL] we require experience and knowledge about the game. From time to time, we do accept players that are not veterans in WvW but these players need to be very motivated, active and improve very fast. We welcome guests in our raids if you are considering joining, so if you are interested don’t hesitate to contact us.

on side note : who REALLY cares about how much u tick for? just play for fun and fights. looking forward to fight FSP guilds.

Well, i think that’s the different. Some ppl care about the tick, others don’t. As you can see on my screenshot, i ran around alone on my little lowlvl and did mapcompletion while i were listening in on ts (i did 10 in dmg on the door – PvD FtW!! :P ) . I think the reason for us working on getting that tick, was that we didn’t have the chance to get those numbers last week and .. well .. We needed something to do – not much resistance.

I do get that some ppl just don’t care about points and ticks and that everyone have trouble with some kind of players/slackers on the different servers, but you also have to remember that there are ppl that find it important to have a nice tick, get in first place and do good. That’s how they play the game, that’s how they have fun and it’s not wrong – it’s not wrong trying to do good things for the server – and having a nice tick or winning is imo to do good for the server

So – question; we defended our Garri in our bl last night. Garri is claimed by Lovers Of Whiskey And Women [LWW] from FSP and have been claimed for over 1 day. Fr zerg came with 2 omega golems and alot of fr – so.. question; how the hell can they have every guild buff (not even from the same guild) when they are in enemy keep where it’s a 3rd (enemy) guild that claimed it?

We did ofc wipe them every time they came though – buffs or not

I don’t think we outnumbered you XxX, had 19 guys when came back to FSP borderland and 15+ around 4 pugs when we met you between garrison and Hills. With one staff ele it was really hardcore :P
Still GG to SOUL and XxX, looking forward to meet you again. We respect such kind of behaviour, no matter who win it’s always better than lags we get vs AoA zombie blob. Kill 30 of them, but watch out another 50 incoming lol
We did let SOUL regroup many times, had like 6 good “rounds”. Cool stuff guys! And NOPE we won’t go further under 2 cannons :P
