I’m having the same problem with my GTX 670. It started happening at the start of Wintersday. Couldn’t even get anyone to respond to my thread. Been trying for weeks. Tech support is a massive joke in this game. Good luck

With my Radeon graphics card all settings have the same fps.. About 20. With my Nvidia card, the fps stays close to my refresh rate.. 60. Whats really messed up is my Nvidia card crashes all the time and my Radeon doesn’t.. Mind boggling

I’ve tried drivers from most recent all the way to a year old and these crashes keep coming. I have a GTX 670. Up until Wintersday I never crashed once.

This is happening to so many people right now. I’ve tried absolutely everything and have gotten no where. It all started with the Wintersday patches.

Massive weird crash problems were introduced with Wintersday. Still no word that a fix is in the works.

Also this has nothing to do with graphics settings. I get the same crashes when everything is set to low.

I tried my Radeon card and everything was fine. Well except that the card is to old to get good fps. I’ve put my GTX 670 card back in and tried the last 6 drivers with no luck. This wasn’t happening a few weeks ago. I never had a single sound or video issue before. Any help?

I completely disabled all sound and it still happens.. Going to try more video card drivers. What does it take to get an Anet employee to respond to your Tech Support thread?

I just started playing again after a couple week break. I’m now having hard lockups where I have to force my PC to reboot. Right before it locks, the audio starts screeching so loud that I have to rip my headphones off. The worst place this happens in is The Black Citadel. It happens every time I walk into the main building there.

So far I’ve tried a fresh Windows 7 x64 install and several different video and sound card drivers. Even betas for both. I’ve tried several in game settings as well. Every driver on is up to date as well as Windows Update.

My system:
Windows 7 64
AMD Phenom II x4 975
8 GB ram
500 GB SSD
Nvidia GTX 670
Asus Xonar Phoebus Sound card

When the game launched, they patched the game everyday for a while.. Why the hell can’t they patch this? This is really pissing me off..

What Vzur said is correct.. Your server and the overflow servers are on different cycles.

Pretty much the worst trailer I’ve ever seen.. Unbelievably awful. I’m shocked Anet did this.
