Hey. This is my first post here, and I have been a main pvp player since the start of the game. Last season I tryharded myself to top 100 as soloQ but I won’t do it again.
The community is small and its majority is bad or just doesn’t care. When I saw the rewards I thought there was something more than a title, but there isn’t. So what do you get for being at the top in this game? A TITLE! That is the ONLY reward difference between a bronze player with 0001 rating and a 2000 rating player.
So the question is, why would players work towards the top of leaderboards? I find no reasons myself, and there is no prestige in being good at a game with an ever-shrinking pvp community. At least the raids are fun and rewarding. I can do pvp without caring about rating while I wait for raid reset.
