sealth is an effect that last a short period of time when you use certain skills. it’s not a permanent effect, or an effect that last until you attack (like in wow.) Although attack will break stealth. personaly i have found it to be useful in two ways.
one to shed aggro, for instance if i was fighting one monster and acidentally rolled into another and start taking too much damge, i will throw blinding powder and go stealth which buys you a few seconds to run, or let you healing skill recharge.
second when you attack with your #1 skill (primary weapon) while stealthed, you do a special “sneak attack” depending on the weapon you are using.
one other thing that i have noticed about stealth, is that there seems to be a short cool down time, so if i use blinding powder and then attack (breaking stealth) and then imediately use another skill that would stealth me it won’t. (just what i noticed, perhaps someone else has notice this as well)

thank you eliteZ, that website seems greatly useful. i can’t wait to get home and try it out. I didn’t mean to beat a dead horse or anything, but i am, and have always been, horrible at finding anything specific in message forums.
So i recently got back into GW2 after taking a few month break over the holidays. I hit level cap and decided its time to think long term, as far as the gear i wanted my character to have. So i figured its time to start dugeon crawling. I was disappointed to find how difficult it was to get into a group.
It seemed that most people form the groups in lions arch, and then port to the dugeon, but this means sitting in the city while waiting. Mean while there is little else to do while you wait for a map chat to pop up calling for the dungeon you’re looking for.
The alternative to this would be to set yourself to LFG in the social panel, but this only shows players in the zone that you are in. So then i would need to be in Calderon if i was looking for a Twilight Arbor group, and I don’t think anybody uses the LFG anyway.
So here’s my suggestion, a revised LFG panel, that works across all zones, and allows you comment on what type of group you are looking for. Also a dugeon que system might work well, where it pairs you up with random players looking for the same dungeon. This should work better than other MMO’s since the holy trinity issue is not really prevailant. Or at least a sever wide Lfg chat channel (that you could toggle on/off) So that people won’t get blocked for chat spamming.

So i recently bought a mini skritt pet of the trading post, he’s so cute. but he vanished the first time i selected “deposit all collectables” from the inventory panel. Anyone else find this troublesome?
