I don’t know about the US bads you’re playing with OP but SFR got to nr.1 by having skilled pugs and by winning fights.

Get your facts straight before making useless threads on subjects you don’t know about.

With even numbers your commanders and their pug blobs would still lose to other servers because of their skilled guild groups lol. SFR has a huge population, sorry but thats why you are high ranked.

SFR got to the top with a medium server and it was only the bandwagoners from the first tournament that tipped it to a heavily populated server.

SFR still has quite a few of the players who helped it get to the top in the first place.

And there are very few servers who could beat an SFR pug zerg of equal numbers in open field competition let alone a SFR guild raid. You seem to forget that SFR is primarily a wvw server and has always been so. The majority of SFR players play wvw and nothing else and they play wvw hardcore.

So basically, you do not know what you are talking about.

However… wvw is not supposed to be and is not about open field fights.

When I’ve stopped laughing at the above….. SFR are like anyone else they win fights and lose fights …plenty of them….your pug groups are like anyone elses sometimes good sometimes not so..You are far from super skilled you got to no 1 because of numbers/coverage just as anyone else does .
I’ve WvW since day 1 fought against most servers in EU so I do know what I’m saying.

Just how exactly would you score around fights? 30 vs 15…… the 30 winning and gets more points? Would the small scale skirmishes around camps, dollies etc that people enjoy no longer be important removing any tactical elements?
Or would you herd everyone into guilds ?
Not saying the status quo is where I want to be but it would be impossible to score from “fights”.

Personaly I hope Deso does not go under to silver league again, they are a lot more fun to fight against than say Vizunah of old, more open field, less siege and scouts, although the nightcap team appears to be about equal. I was hoping Gandara would manage to enter gold and be 4-5 or so for matchup diversity and a third international server to finally stop national server domination in gold and let a healthy transfer spread for matchup balancing, don’t look like it’s gonna happen.

I did not like the way BB fought during the season. I’m talking pug commanders. It wasn’t doubleteaming per se, but rather the fact that they chose to avoid most engagements with SFR unless PPT was involved that made SFR fight Deso, was simply more fun. Believe it or not we like good fights as much as we like winning. Smart tactic for the season PPT awfull bore fight wise, good thing Deso didn’t avoid fighting.

How did Riverside get equal place with Deso and BB again? Baffling tournament system.

You classed BB as an opponent? You are meant to fight opponents not hold hands!
Outnumbered 90% of the time??? Wow even your ruins snipe groups had 10 people, I know because we were frequently ganked by them.

Enough of this double teaming talk already, let’s looks at the facts for the truth. SFR have already won 1st place in the tournament, and so far have won all match-ups played. So the question is why would we need to double team? We go where the best fights are, and to keep a decent tick.

Even when we have been totally swamped by the numbers Deso and BB have been fielding we fought on. A thimble of tears used to be 10g on the TP, now they’ve flooded the market they are barely worth 1c each.

Calling you out as someone who doesn’t play WvW. SFRs have taken the mantle from Viz as the blobbing server do you think you are number 1 because of skill ????

I’m over 40. I’ve found that you just naturally gravitate to being with players your own age. Even b4 you voice chat with them or do anything that would give age away you just sort of end up with the other oldies.

BTW as I get older my fine motor skills are getting worse making jumping puzzles harder and harder. I feel like paying a neighborhood 12yo to come over and do them for me.

I’m so glad it isn’t just me flailing about in the jumping puzzles…… I call in my son who finds it hilarious that I’m so useless!!

Btw this whole thread is just a joy to me ….I’m not alone…..there are other parents who have to stop mid game to deal with family issues… normally separate fighting kids in my case!

I’m 48 and have a wonderful time playing with my 14 year old son. We almost exclusively WvW, I am distinctly average and get saved numerous times by his youthful quick reactions…the downside is just like rl I’m forever having to supply money to him!

Every server blobs, every server has guilds, every server has roamers, but SFR does it best, that´s why SFR is winning the league at this rate, you can whine however much you want, but fact is that SFR is winning… It´s sad though that you try to come with excuses to losing, you´re not good enough – yet.

To be fair the amount of terrible players on Sfrs was just laughable…It was like fighting Viz at their prime…… any even numbered fight they were either beaten or ran away

Not too long ago, i was hit with thief 13k backstab, 7k heartseeker, 10k cloak and dagger.. how is this feature patch not enough?

With no counter to stealth, zero interest in balancing OP class, guild wars 2 will not stand a chance against mmo’s who refuse these OP mechanics in their game.

History tells us, having No counter to stealth and having God Mode philiosphy defining balance, will only result in FAILURE.

(imagine having WoW with guild wars 2 balance philosophy, would it prosper the way it is?)

Look at the time, around 8.30am GMT+1. They take everything with a massive golem rush or whatever, and it stays like this for hours and hours. That and only that is giving Desolation the edge on this matchup.

On prime time, Baruch Bay always scores higher (from around 9 to 11pm).

Due to that the score is now meaningless, we already know the outcome, what a pity.

Well not that I’ve seen it…… but if you’re beating Deso for a full 2hrs out of every 24 what a traversty that you’re behind!!!

@Bethryn Firstly think you’ll find the people who stayed on Deso through the last year have tremendous balls!! Fighting week in week out, outmanned with often no chance of winning and still sticking together due to some fantasic remaining guilds and commanders.
I’m not saying I disagree at all with your ideas however we are where we are until Anet change it.
I certainly don’t talk down to Gandara as it’s obvious that you have some fantastic guilds who are highly skilled etc….however there is certainly a lot of bitterness and trash talk aimed at Deso.

Just trying to work out where we are….last match up Gandara were only in the fights ( alledgedly)….earlier this week when leading they were very interested in ppt… until they started falling behind and now its only the fights again!!! Hey I suppose when they’re ticking 400 points overnight against Underworld it’s ok !!!

@Twinny-I don’t know where you get this thought that there is no respect for FSP on Deso….if you could hear our teamspeak you’d know there certainly was!! We all know that the match ups are about numbers/coverage and that there are excellent players/guilds on EVERY server.

I’m having a great time in this match up excellent fights, if the other two servers need to hold hands good for them if it suits their mutual needs, I feel it’s a compliment to us at Deso.

Shino has no interest in this thread that has nothing to do with him I would hate to see something he has interest in ……. he never shuts up!!

Oh Shino no one on Deso gives any thought to either him or AG yet he cannot get us out of his mind, following our match up threads that have nothing to do with him desperately hoping we notice him. Just like being stalked by an ex girlfriend.

Look I’ll settle this AG……are much better players than us at Deso, they never zerg, are all highly skilled & have only ever taken a tower after beating our 80 man defence. Its quite obvious to every AG player who posts here, after all we only manage a kill when it’s 4 vs 1. We’ll just have to console ourselves with winning this match.
