Thank you very much, I actually figured the same thing about a half hour after. I think I was an idiot to assume that wouldn’t have fixed it, because of its similarity to a previous issue i’ve had. But it was worth the shot and it worked so thank you

Just found through looking into things further, that I’m not crazy lol current people on the world map in Queensdale show they have 5 hearts in that section (in the attached picture) while on my map I only have 4

I don’t know if it helps, but the exact heart is called “Help fisherman Travis and fishermen Justin”

Not sure if they changed the heart quests in Queensdale – I would assume they wouldn’t, if anything would instead add new quests (hearts) for special events – But after walking to almost every edge (or so I’m sure i have..) around Queensdale, with EVERYTHING completed, I cannot seem to find the last heart.

Its not that i can’t complete it, due to level or difficulty… its just NOT there…

I looked at images and videos of the map completed, and I see the missing heart I have, on their map, but on mine it is simply just not there… (video I watched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0bHzHKwOtI)

Which made me wonder, do they change up the quests? Because if they have, maybe its on another part of the map, but if not, then I’m assuming my Queensdale is glitched?

I don’t know whats wrong, all I know is i have 16/17 hearts, but the last heart is no where to be seen on my map…

The annoying thing is that i’ve already completed Queensdale on my main, so I know its possible, but on this one character it just doesn’t simply happen to be there..

So for the past 24 hours I’ve been on and off playing for hours at a time, but the trading post has been unavailable. I can go to the vendor and pick up my profits, but the online aspect isnt connecting, allowing me to sell anything or buy anything from the marketplace. It simply just keeps loading with no result?
I’ve cleaned my cache, and the folder which works for multiple issues usually. But nothing has seemed to fix this one, but im also not sure if im the only one experiencing this problem.
My internet connectivity seems fine, my game runs smooth, no issues no lags what so ever, no freezing and no problems connecting to any other aspect of the game or the game itself… i literally just cant access the Black Lion Trader.. help?

The first issue I ever ran into was about it freezing and not loading, so thats how i learned to clean the application support folder for GW2, which has fixed any issue I’ve had since… Except this one. There seem to be other characters coming and going, while im sitting waiting to see if it’ll load so I really dont understand what the problem is when my connection is fine? Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to play the game at all or it’d be lagging correct?

If my problem has the potential of being DNS related, I would need in depth instructions how to find and change from Manual to Auto, im on a Mac instead of PC so..
the other forum mostly has just suggested what I’ve already tried, which is going into the Application Support folder and then into GW2 and cleaning it out completely. I’ve done this twice and logged into each different character multiple times with no avail…

So from looking into it more, it seems my problem is somehow related to the “awesomium_process.exe” which allows the connection to the trading post…
Now.. from looking into THAT, most are all PC solutions. So I now know i need to have this running in my cache,
but HOW do i find if it is?
HOW do I turn it on if its not, and HOW will i know it will stay active or how do I keep it active.
I NEED access to the trading post, like most people do so I would REALLY REALLY appreciate any help.. Im trying my best to figure this out, but im not a computer genius, im just fairly good with computers. There has to be someone who’s gone through this and knows or can at least point me in the right direction please?

Have you visited us on the Mac forums yet? Most times maccies get ignored on this forum and on tHe Mac forum, we have some players helping since we dont get much staff support to help out… Ashley tries, but she’s only one person.

Anyway, I don’t think we use the awesomium process on Mac, but I’ll post our usual fix for tp issues:

Delete the contents of the gw2 data folder, it’s a pain to get to the right one: this step is a general fix for many tp and graphics issues however, it will lose all saved login/password and in-game settings.

Mine is located under the hidden Library folder (navigate using finder, do not use spotlight to search)

/[yourharddrivename]/users/[yourusername]/library/application support/guild wars 2

You may want to copy/paste this folder to your desktop as a temporary back up, just in case.

Delete the contents of that specific folder (you should see files like this contained within “config, dyndata.dat, user.reg, userdef.reg, and folders p_drive and wineserver…namestuff…loca..[long name]” just to list a few), then re-run the client..

~~Your folder is probably hidden (as is the default). Hidden folders display as greyed out text and icons. I found this after googling:

You can also try holding alt while clicking "GO " in the finder menu bar unhide the correct Library folder, continue holding alt and click on Library (if you release the alt/option key, “library” will disappear. At least the link has visuals for you. Hope it helps.

Hey Kyllaa, yeah I’ve already tried that approach, that was what i meant by cleaning out the folder. When I had issues before i stumbled upon that, but so far it hasnt helped.. I’ve tried re-logging, restarting game and comp multiple times, but nothing. Reset the modem, nothing. Cleaned out the GW2 folder in application support, nothing… So the only thing like i said in my posts before is something to do with the awesomium process, but if it may be different on a mac than im even more stumped lol

EDIT: I also just re-posted this thread in the Mac forum (if its the right one i think.. the “Mac Beta Client Tech Support”? so hopefully i may be able to get some more help there too

I’m on a mac so im not sure if this solution will work for you, but when my game started to just freeze randomly, I tried every step in the below forum post, but nothing really worked until I did “STEP 4”. Ever since whenever my game gets laggy or slow, I clean the folder and it works perfectly again.

I am at 98% completion with one POI to go, although I have tried in every possible way to find out whether im chasing some incorrect POI, or whether since a recent build it is literally inaccessible. It says that there are 17 POI’s, I have searched and searched, looked up 100% map completions, and CANNOT find what or where this stupid last point is. Help please? The only undiscovered point I have is south of Broadhollow Bluffs (and no its not the underwater point everyone has a hard time getting). The map is also glitchy and doesn’t look right near that spot… so Im just incredibly frustrated and cannot find even the right direction to start in. The weird part is I have completed it on another character but i just cant seem to figure this one out. (Whenever I go near the waypoint it keeps teleporting back to a random spot)

I didn’t get it working again until I did the last step of empty the folder contents.
Repaired permissions, repaired the client install. And again those two steps didnt work or have any effect until I did step “4)” by emptying the folder contents – this doesnt go saying that I may have even needed to try the first couple steps, but I thought it would be a safe way to get it working.

So for anyone with future problems like this, try step 4) on the following link, and if that does not work follow the entire procedure from step 1)

Hi so I was just playing about 20 minutes ago, before the game randomly decides to quit and shut down. So I restart, didnt work, restarted the computer about 2 – 3 times, shut down and clean restart, didnt work.

After it initially had shut down, it also blanked on remembering all my information.. so conveniently I had to go reset all that stuff, then started restarting the computer. Every time i open the client, it works, I log in, but as soon as I hit play myself, or whether i hit auto-play, it just stop progressing. Looks like the screen is about to switch into full screen, but nothing…. just my background, with a gray box.. Conveniently.

Why im angry, is because I haven’t changed any setting, touched anything, done anything at all really other than just play my game like I had been for the past however f’ing long, and then it just stops working? Lovely, so if anyone has any logical explanation as to how and why it just decides to stop, than I’m all ears. I’m extremely kitten ed off at this point, I just want to play my game like I was 20 minutes ago without some bullsht happening. Every other link, or clickable option on the client works, everything works PERFECTLY except for hitting PLAY, or clicking the auto-play and having it attempt to load. Its just marvellous and makes sooo much sense, especially since there hasn’t been a build, my internet is working, umm I havent done jack crap to any setting or anything, so yeah its just awesome, but the most important thing… theres a logical explantation right? hahahaha bs

And yes of course there is the option of re-downloading the entire f’ing client, which im sure would most likely work, but really dont want to do that, and waste god know how long (hours to a day) when I want to know why I’d even have to do that, when nothing changed, there should be some solution that doesn’t involve some pain-in-the-kitten long resolve, that is completely unfair as to what caused the problem (whatever that may be)

So if your suggestion is going to be that, than please don’t bother, if I really have to do that I will, but in an extremely angered state, after coming the the conclusion that life’s conveniences just love to screw with me because of the lack of reason for there to be a problem to begin with.
