open at Ehmry ATM

The post does not say by any means buying to open might be a safe bet. Im just putting some little organized information with price included out there for anyone who is interested in looking at it. I agree 250 bags is a small sample, they were all looted tho, none bought.

I agree that opening bags for profit is a very risky way to go, and I absolutely agree that if you LOOTED the bag, you should probably open it, unless the price of the bag is above its usual value.

If you get lucky and get a couple of expensive lodestones, loot bags are better. There’s also Giant eyes that drop from moldy bags, which are about 60s. All in all i did the opening of over 1250 loot bags and made about 12g. Sadly it’s not a regular thing anymore.

I know, but the rate drops of those items is stupidly low

However 12g for 1250 heavy moldy bags seems really low…

I think the title is quite self explanatory, I attached a spreadsheet I made with all the results using prices of the TP today.

My conclusion is: they are not worth opening if you are not farming any of the items they give. I personally will keep opening because of the need for T6 mats. The difference between opening and selling is quite little, and it could easily fluctuate along with prices.

I am (as many players) a frequent user of the Trading Post as a way of making money. I believe anyone who uses the TP (either to make money or just to sell every matt and weap they get while exploring/grinding DEs) was most likely at some point tempted to smash their keyboard to the ground when reading the “error attempting to sell” message.

Now I’m not saying there should not be anti bots features on the TP, I’m just saying that non-bot user like me and most of GW2 community shouldn’t be paying the price for bots.

In my opinion there should be some kind of Captcha every 10 min or something that would allow users to deal with the Trading Post daily sells smoother than just having to way and cast spells while waiting for the ban to cooldown.

This might have been said before, but I haven’t found it.

I really think they should put a nice captcha there so you can keep selling, even if the captcha were to spam every couple of sales (or even better, every 10 minutes or so) it would still be less annoying that this feature they are running now.
