I have been on and off the game but had it since launch. I have multiple level 80 characters and mostly do PvP, Fractals, and Dungeons but I’d be open to WvW. Looking for a small, social guild where I can get to know the members individually. I’d be more than happy to join a small, growing one too.
A bit about myself now? I main a Druid, but I also like Engineer. I’m a very social guy, I like to make new friends and I’ve had great experience making friends on GW2. I’ve got Skype and discord, and am looking into a gaming headset for team speak and such. I’m pretty patient and open, more than willing to help a small guild grow. I hope to see some of you soon!
EDIT: My server is Maguuma

How do I add the code? When I hit add code and type in the serial code from my manual it is in the wrong format. For example, it says it must start with a 6 character batch but mine reads 5
I’m having trouble upgrading my existing account to Heart of Thorns. When I open the Computer tab, hit the disc icon (with HoT in the drive) and hit setup it opens my regular game client which doesn’t update.
Just found this thread, what a great idea. Whenever I have a moment I’ll be searching it for anywhere I can help. This represents the GW2 community so well, we never fail impress me.
As for my post, if anyone has a few gems laying around I’d like a Dread Quiver for my ranger please! That’s all
I’m on an NA server, feel free to add me!
So would the play be more casual? More friendly for beginners to play in?
So a few weeks ago I made a guild of about 5 people (intended to be that way). We are 100% casual and just like laid-back fun. Problem is we are on different servers, and want to try to do some roaming as a party on WvW. We’ve made it our current mission to gold farm together (which is becoming quite fun) with the intention of saving up to transfer servers. Now before we actually do this, I decided to ask here what the main difference between low and high population servers are? The low population servers are much cheaper. I know there are some obvious answers but I’d like an educated answer. What is the PvP, PvE and WvW like in each? Which is more suited to a casual 5 friend guild?
(Secondary Question: Any tips on gold farming? I was looking for something easy and casual, away from the lines of farming SW for 8 hours at a time. I chose farming ecto from WB rare drops, since there was a few people who hadn’t done many World Bosses before I could hit two birds with one stone)

I bought Guild Wars 2 at launch and have played it on and off. Seeing the new expansion really makes me want to get it. Only problem is, 50$?! I really don’t want to dish out money for the core game when I already have it. I’m hopeful though because I am a patient person and don’t need it right away. Do you think it will go down in price in the near future? (Less than 4 months after launch) or is 50$ the best deal I will get?
Also, there’s talk of extra character slots and other promotionals if I bought the game/order the expansion within a certain time. Can someone explain them to me?
I think I’ll just buy it and save the materials. 10g can be made quite easily. Thank you for all your help!
I can get the crystalline dust through TP or running AC in explorable mode, which is nice because I’m doing that anyway to get tears. I have 10+ mystic coins and can buy the rest. A bottle of Elonian wine is also pretty cheap, 25s. It really comes down to spirit shards, because it seems much cheaper to craft than buy as far as gold
How rare are spirit shards? I have 75 right now and am wondering if I should save and buy Courage with gold or spend 50 of them on its materials and craft it
He is higher level but doesn’t have exotic gear yet. On that note, I just discovered the focus Courage. It seems to be in my price range and I think that it’s design will be worth way more sentimental value than any 400g exotic off the Trading Post.
I was looking around after the Wings of Dwayna link and thought maybe I would be able to craft him a cool exotic weapon? I have some spirit shards and other things saved up from before, do you think this could be doable?
Yes he is playing HoT and I just started playing again and only have about 20 gold, which is why I stated the question in a way suggesting I had to start from scratch.
Also how could farming keys get him a skin? I’m returning to the game and re-learning many things

Hey guys, I’ve always used Players Helping Players but never posted anything. This one is kind of different. My friend has a birthday in about two and a half weeks, and both of us are avid players. He lives halfway across the world, so I thought my gift to him could be a GW2 item. Do you guys know of any non bound item I could mail to him that’s the top quality I could obtain in two weeks? I’d like it to be as valuable as possible to make it the best present it could be. I’d like it to be a weapon, but it could be armour, consumables, anything. He is a guardian by the way.
Additional information: My best character is a level 80 so I have access to all the dungeons, etc.
