So, I’m trying to send some cooking mats to a guildmate and as I send them to email, and hit send, I catch this glimpse of a different name on the TO line. No “sent” items to check who I just sent this stuff to, and no way to recall the email. My friend did not receive the items, as he was online at the time and confirmed that he didn’t get an email from me. All I can recall is that the name started with an “R”. My friend’s name doesn’t.
So I start checking on it. Here’s what I found:
- I have nobody selected or primaried.
- Open inventory and click on mail item to…
- email opens and item populates the attachment box and a random name populates the TO line. Interesting…
- I change the name to my friend’s name on the TO line
- select another item to send to my email and again, another random (yet different) name repopulates the TO line.
- Five times this happens.
- Each time, a new random name appears. It seemed to be a random name of someone standing close to me as I’m watching and testing. However, by the time I realize this, there are no “R” names that look familiar. Actually, there were no “R” names at all, and none of the names looked like the name I glimpsed.
Kinda ticked off that this would happen. I filed a bug report and included screenshots within a few minutes of it happening. I also files another bug report after I realized through troubleshooting, where the names were coming from. It just shouldn’t populate or repopulate a name on a TO line at all.
Anyone else see this issue? Kinda ticked off. Those were valuable cooking mats.
