Interesting comment. A few points of clarification:
- I didn’t really see blade master as worthwhile (only 10% crit. chance increase with sword). It doesn’t seem to increase damage as much as say items like Opportunist
- Given that I don’t intend to main a bow, I don’t see the 2 bow traits as worth it. Should I just give up on being primary melee & main with a bow?
- It seems like you give up a lot of sustain without Cleansing Ire / Shout healing. Is the DPS increase that significant?
Thanks for the comments. Appreciate any commentary
Fairly new to the warrior & looking to make a PVE & WvW build. For PVE I was looking to mostly PUG various dungeons & for WvW I was thinking of largely running with the zerg.
My thinking is that I’d like to make something that can take a large chunk of damage while still providing serviceable DPS.
I was thinking of something like this would be fun (as I really don’t like GS) & not terribly kitten
Plan on carrying a longbow for the occasional swap
Appreciate the feedback guys. Definitely going to drop steady focus & replace with Keen Edge or Beastmasters Bond, likely Keen Edge as a lot of the damage is driven off conditions
My issue with main hand sword is that I am looking to get the bulk of my survivability from keeping distance / kiting. I don’t think the build has the survival options to melee effectively. To that end I feel axe is more powerful as it gives me range options
Any other comments? I’m fairly curious as I haven’t seen a build like this on the forums
So I’ve been messing around with the Ranger, and the more I look at it, the more appealing the lower tier traits look to me.
To that end, I wanted to try a build that focused on high crit / condition damage and relied on high movement / evasion for survivability.
Mostly intended to be effective at sPVP & random PVE.
