I can’t see how the codes would be region locked when you can use gems to move region.

You apply a code to an account, if it’s valid it will upgrade your account. WHERE your account is, is a separate choice you make I’d have thought.

Get a different card if you can only use it to buy stuff from amazon.com, they don’t (yet) sell everything in the world after all.

this is what confused me playing Guild wars 2 for about 2 years and haven’t heard about US copy and EU copy its only one copy for the 2 region and then you choose what region you want in game .
i think they did this to make it exclusive for US to make some money because its not from there store ! i dont know .. i hope there is an admin here know about this and explain it to us maybe :/ if not i will just wait for the release date to see what will happen

Why do you have such a restriction ? Is it an amazon gift card ?

there a 25$ fee if i use my visa to buy HoT from the main site but if i bought it from US amazon its only 5$

Just a piece of advice: do NOT pre-order, wait until it’s released.

simply i’m playing guild wars 2 on EU desolation server and i want to buy HoT from vma but " Note: Currently, this item is available only to customers located in the United States."
is this note saying that i need us visa to buy the code or i can buy it but can’t use it on GW2 EU servers ?

i see some people selling HoT codes in EU stores while NCSOFT have no codes for EU players yet !
