Guild Wars 2

Helloes, ArenaNet crew! I’m Sergey, leader of the iddQd [iddQ] guild (EU Seafarer’s Rest server).

iddQd is a biggest russian community in the Guild Wars 2 game. At the moment we have arround 400 active players. and the only thing is holding us from growing even more is 500 ppl cap.
Currently, we are trying to involve more players from russian speaking gamers, but unfortunately much of them aren’t interested in it much at the moment. And the reson is not Guild Wars 2
has no russian localization, its just people can’t communicate well in chats because chats doesn’t support cyrillic. Communicating using english letters for russian words is so much pain…
We don’t ask you to localize the game, we clearly understand it will take a lot of resources you certaintly just can’t allow to waste for it for now, we just ask you to implement cyrillic font support for guild and party chats (just for these two, not whole the tabs).
By doing that, you will attract a lot of people, who just can’t decide for now.

This issue is a high-priority for every iddQd member, and we hope you will not ignore it, as far it’s critical at the moment not just for gamers living in Russia itself, but for peaople from like dozen of countries throughout the world.
I’ll ask iddQd members to leave a comment in this thread, something as like “+1 for cyrillic” if they intrested in implementation of cyrillic support for guild and party chats.
