Hello, first of all, sorry for my bad english.

I was playing GW2 like 2 years ago, got some maxed characters, legendary etc.
Now I’m thinking about coming back to the game and I have some questions.

First, is it players base still large?

Second, I mostly played WvW and Spvp, they improved them in some way? Maybe new maps for wvw and pvp? Also, do I have to play that skyhammer map or do they remove it from ranked pvp?

Next I wanna ask about gear. If I wanna play pve dungs or some new content (i dont count story in that) do I have to grind for ascendend gear or exotics will do the trick?

What about Gandara server? Is it lively and still has strong wvw base?

Lastly I would like to hear some personal thoughts about current state of the game. Your honest opinion or feelings.

Hi.
Today I played a pvp match. We won, I picked up chest like always with reward, clicked on “door with arrow” icon (right of the screen) to leave and start next one. The screen showed me HotM loading screen, I saw lobby for about 0,5s and was putted in this match again. So I did it again. And again I landed in this ended match. So I logged out. Same match still. So I changed character. And he was putted in the ended match.
Other players, from mine and enemy team has similar problem, we talked a bit about it on chat. I submited a ticket to support. And of course I saw they altes, Itthey tried it to. Also, I tried to join wvw – same as leave to lobby, for a sec in 3w and again in this match. And of course I reloaded the game. Closed totally client and started it from “zero”. Also, I was kicked from inactivity and still return there.
Hotjoin on no-ranked pvp – same.

I stucked. My account is usless now. All my characters are prisoned in this match.
Its a serious bug, so I hope you will fix it fast.

Hey, maybe it will be funny but i got problems with beating MM necro on sPVP. Most of time i lose, when I almost got him he DS and im, well, beaten.
Sure, I can kill some MMs but usually they are zerker or something similar (they are melting fast). Sadly, the most of MMs is tough.
I dont have problems with other classes, I think i got nice win-ratio with them.
Im currently using my own mantra build, GS S/F and its fine against other class but those necros with those nasty minions :/
Is there any special tactic against them? Like kill their minions first or something?
Or they are just papper and im the rock in this game – dont start the fight with them, do something else.

Hi all, im thinking about server transfer. For now, im on Blacktide and sadly, its very weak on 3w.
I will be honest, Im looking for good, top sever. Lets say server that can reach top 8 for almost sure in incoming tournament. Also, it would be nice if it would be english speaking server, no DE and French for me. Like in topic
I heard alot about waiting to join to 3w on top-ranked servers. If you play and recommend me your server please, tell me about waiting time. I can easy handle 15-20 min.

Hi all, couse im alto-holic im thinking about creating an elementalist. Most time Im playing 3w (group/zergs) and ls, im loving mass-killing events like this one in LA.
To the point, im kinda disspointed with my current characters.

Guardian – first main, fancy gear, expensive gear. It was kinda cool but boring with the class mechanic. And I dont like the fact that if i want to tag-all-of-them i need to take staff – i dont like it, with travelers runes its quite weak for me. And i really like ranged style, guard sux at it (scepter is quite meh)

Warrior – Boring as hell. Easy as hell. Auto-pilot mode on, he is just awesome in terms of dps and survival ability, along with tagging (LB is just wow!). So why not him? As I said, its to easy. Playstyle of this class is just too boring.

Mesmer – freaking awesome playstyle. Im loving it. Dodging, evading, making clones. Lack of move speed? Travelers here, problem solved. And you can stealth, its always cool, and at 1vs1 on 3w or even 1vs2 I can win quite easy with my standard GS/Staff or S/P build. He will be always my fav. But i need something more. Mes is really bad at tagging. On guard/war im getting 2/3x bags more. Sadly, he is lacking of aoe skills. And it hurst bad if you wanna get loot.

And then, there is an ele. With interesting playstyle (i finding it quite challenging, this swapping between elements) and with 2 awasome skills. Icebow and Flame Sword. And of course a lot more, weapon depending.
My question is simple, is ele the one im looking for?
Can ele tag red-ones like the beast?
Where does ele shine? (PvP, PvE, 3w)?
Does he got high dps compared to warrior?

Revenge – im not dev, but i doubt you would be banned for it. I, for example, didnt know that it costed 25.60, when i was counting mats for my sword I counted it as 26s. Its only 56c per wine, nothing to make an impact..

Yeah, someone said that if the price would be halfed down you would fix it as fast as you can, im feeling the same way. Don’t get me wrong, I love this game, I love Anet but this, this is ridiculous, its only price, one of the most simple things to change. One merchant, one item.
Please, fix it, im sure many of us from GW2 uniwerse are suffering from this bug – we collected cores, dust and now when we finally got it we cannot make our weapon, we cannot progress in it – and dont say it, that we can buy it for 51s – I need 100 bottles, so 51 g compared to 25-6 its a huge difference.

Hello. Currently, Im farming AB on living world events. Its ok, with mf gear i get some nice drops from mobs, rares and once i got 3 exos on single invasion(crappy ones to be honest but still). My question is – are there better places/ways to farm? I was farming embers a little, but when im in orr to check the train for it, there is nobody there to farm with. On diffrent servers too, are they nerfed it?

I wanna craft the anomaly focus for myself, i got almost all items that are need for it (need 10 more sp and its done).
My question is – how do i do that? Do i need some kind of recipe or just put those ectos, coins etc in the all for slot of the forge and just click?

Hi. After last update game became totally unplayable. I cant log. Ok, I logged in, great. I cant pick one of characters and play, couse error. Ok, third time it worked, get instantly kicked on rata sum loading screen. Earlier, was pl;aying events for leaving story – got kicked to overflown, it was under 10 mins after start so I would do events there. Guess what? Kicked from it to overflown-eventless. And then again and then again and then again, kicked-like-dog. Any area, pve/pvp.
And by kicks i mean disconnecting, disconnects. FOR SURE not my internet problem, not the pc.
You made this game unplayable now. Pls fix it, everyone can make a mistake but this is, my dear AN, a huge one and needs to be taken on fast.

Hello again. So I picked up 2 of them, ele and ranger and now cannot decide between them.
First, ele. First thing that I felt thakittens the most skill-needed class in this game. So fragile, yet so fun to play. Well, for now, I still learning how to swap elements to master its full potencial, and ofc i run D/D for now. Its just to awesome compared to staff or scepter, yeah, no ranged, but very fun to play, fast full-time action mode, like GW: Devil May Cry ;p But in ele topic I read he is worst class, weakest and nerfed to the ground. So why I should take and fight with a rusted, old sword (ele) if I can pick something better?
Ranger, Im using Longbow with Sword/Axe. Compared to ele he is lazy. Very lazy. But still, he can kill very well and he has got high survival ability compared to ele (and others to be honest, talking about pve) thx to pet, I picked a kitty to deal more dmg and cats are the best.
Im interested in 2 things. First, which one is more needed, easier to find a party in pve? Dungs like AC CoF etc. Or maybe both are kicked for being a ranger or ele?
Second, pve dps. Which one can deal more dmg?
Pvp is ok for both of this class. Completly diffrent playstales but they both can do well.

Hello fellow players, standard problem here, I cant decide which class should I lvl next.
So, basicly, got engineer but he is more short range then range. Next got my “main”, guardian, he can take scepter. But rly? He is more pure melee then engi. So, as a fan of ranged classes i would like to play with one.
Im interested in pve/pvp, dont care for wvw.
I thinki ele would be a good choice but correct me if im wrong and please, recommend me some other options.

Hello, first of all, sry for my bad english but I think you will know what i wanna say.
Well, im just dont know what class play next. I dont have any 80 lvl so far (40 eng and 20 mesmer). Im playing PVE, most solo + first dungeons and PVP (the arena ones, not wvw) Engineer is really ok, i like him but i dont like the fact that his rifle is more close combat weapon then ranged, and yeah, flamethrower is just better (with pistol+shield, godly) so its kind of uselles. I will just skip my mes, i will delete him (class is ok, but i hate male-human mes looks) and someday remake it as a cute girl.

But to the point – i wanna play guardian or warrior. For heavy armors, for giant Final Fantasy like swords, for smashing some heads with hammer and chopping some arms with axe.
So the class i pick should be ok in pve and wanted in teams (GW1 monk veteran here), should be ok on pvp, I dont care for WvW. And i dont like a tank role, i can dps, i can support or heal but i dont like tanking (i know i know, not great 3 of mmo but i dont know how this aspect looks in end-game).
For what I saw both classes are wanted in team and good, in top.
Warrior – great weapon-pool, many options, heard that he is awesome in solo pve, got acces to typical-ranged weapon like rifle (love idea of rifle in gw2) and I read he is actually good DPS with it.
Guardian – cool class, the holy warrior, less weapons, buffs, buffs buffs, hard to kill, i dont know how he can handle ranged fight.
Please, write me some good and bad sides of each class. Personal feelings, opinions welcome.
