A Civil Explanation of Issues With HoT Price
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: irksomesloth.3764
I made this post to clear the air, and to try and put into better and more polite wording, the community’s negative feelings about the pricing of HoT. This is in response to the hundreds of posts that are vulgar or poorly worded, and simply don’t get the point across very well.
Addressing the Arenanet representative who may be reading this post. As I’m sure you’re aware, many users on the forums have expressed discontent with the pricing of HoT. Many of these posts have been unhelpful, poorly worded, may not have had a proper understanding of the reasoning behind the price, or were generally vulgar. The issue many guild wars 2 veterans have with the pricing is that while newer players are offered a bonus value and lowered barrier of entry; no matter what arenanet’s intentions were, that added value to new players makes the value of the purchase feels disproportionate to purchases of HoT made by veteran players. the fact that new players get a bonus value makes veteran players feel as if the time and money they’ve put into the game in the past isn’t appreciated.
What veteran players have failed to communicate is that what we really want is a purchase that is equal to the value that new players receive when they purchase HoT. We feel the need for some form of compensation or added value to our purchase of the expansion, to show that arenanet values how much we’ve supported the game over the years.
Thank you for your time. I eagerly await your response.
there are moments where my character is confused or his target if reflecting projectiles and i end up either having to turn around, reaching down to shut off auto-attacks, or killing myself.
I’m curious as to why there’s no key to simply stop auto attacking til another attack skill is used.
There’s an odd glitch with the system that keeps you from exploiting mob movepaths. normally if you’ll try to snipe a creature from a spot they can’t reach the mob will become immune and be removed from combat. In some cases it gets set off under normal circumstances (i had it happen with several mobs including Vassar in the ascalonian catacombs).
It can be very frustrating to see a mob you’ve been fighting to inexplicably walk away as if you’re not there and force you to start over on it, and ive heard that it becomes problematic in areas with a high mob density. This is a bug and it needs to be addressed.
