Guild Wars 2

I fixed it for me. If I leave the client open and not minimized it downloads super fast. The second I minimize it,open another program or put a window in front of it, it stops downloading all together or the speed plummets. I cannot explain that.

What have you tried to solve it?

It looks like I will eventually be able to play the game its just going to take forever to download it like this!

I have recently decided to come back to the gw2 (woo)

However I am having serious issues with downloading the game!

I have fiber optic broadband and it is working fine, everything running and downloading really fast! I uninstalled and downloaded a couple of games through steam to check the download speed was going as it should be.

However when I try to download guild wars it fluctuates from 1kbps to 2 or 3 mbps, up and down like crazy!

also the client will randomly come up with the message connection errors detected and freeze on that message, forcing me to quit the client and reopen it. it downloaded a bit more and same thing happens.

I have opened all ports gw2 recommend, disabled firewalls and antivirus, everything I can think of.

any advice?

My name is Jefferson, I am a Thief on the Aurora guild server looking for a guild to join, I am interested in doing pretty much everything, PVP, PVE events etc, however the most important part for me is community and fun, people to speak to and just enjoy the game and play with.
