Add in legendary pick, logging axe, and harvesting sickle craftable using the mystic forge! It would be a significant investment but they would be indestructible which would be completely worth all the farming. You would never have to buy any gathering tools again. They could also look way cooler and have sweet particle effects and whatnot.
