World – Tarnished Coast
Map – Lornar’s Pass (no quests, just exploring and doing hearts)
Race/Class – Norn Guardian and Human Ranger

Last night when playing between 9:30pm and 11:00pm USET, my sister and I had a slight issue where we could not see each other on the map after successfully grouping and fighting random mobs. I moved farther away from the nearest waypoint, and I was able to travel there and trigger a loading screen( travelling to the waypoint when I was too close to it did not work as I didn’t have to load the area). Once I did that, I was able to see her portrait and see her on the map. However, whenever one of us got too far away (we did not have to be right on top of each other but both of our “dots” on the mini map had to be visibly, one of us could not be “off” the others mini map), then the portrait would blank out. Once we closed the distance, it returned. It was very strange, but we made it work.

Things I wish I knew when I started playing.

- Not only are there bags for your inventory, but there are boxes too! These are craftable by an Armorsmith and have 8 to 12 slots depending on the type. Just discovered boxes yesterday, and was able to buy some on the trading post.

- Check if your skills can start or finish combos. There’s plenty of info on the wiki under Combos. Makes things even more fun if you’re with a ton of people like the group events, trying to land the combos!

I do agree, inventory space does become a bit challenging if you craft a ton of foods at one time. I had to sell a lot of the food I made on the trading post just to get rid of it, and I am constantly consuming something when I’m playing. I just make it too fast and a lot of the bonuses last 30 minutes. The list prices were probably only a few bronze, so don’t expect to profit too much. The only item I saw with actual orders were ones that have a +magic find. I will probably focus on making those foods over others, if I can.

The good news is you can try it, if you hate it, switch to something else. I love it.

I haven’t seen much of an issue with cooking costing more than other crafts, and it’s very fun. There are certain ingredients you can only buy from an NPC, but a lot of times it is in bulk (10 or 25 of one item) and therefore the price is reasonable IMO. But I’m not trying to store up my karma or coin for anything right now.
