Hello, I’ve been wanting to contribute to the community for a long time, but I don’t really have the time to dedicate to starting my own project, and I was wondering if there are any projects out there that are open to development contributions? Like I said, I don’t have much time out of my week to work on such things, but I am a professional developer and I’d love to contribute in some small way.
Hi, my fiance and I are looking for a guild on one of the servers listed below to transfer to during next week’s period of reduced/free transfer costs. We are hoping to find a guild that likes doing dungeons and doesn’t like cheesing or skipping bosses (trash we aren’t bothered by, but we’re bored of putting bosses in corners to break their mechanics). We will show up for Guild Missions whenever we are able to (which is most of the time). We also love leveling alts and doing open world PvE. We also want a social guild with active chat; we love voice comms as well.
Here are the server’s we’re looking at:
Henge of Denravi
Crystal Desert
Northern Shiverpeaks
Sorrow’s Furnace
Darkhaven
Ferguson’s Crossing
Gates of Madness
Devona’s Reach
Eredon Terrace
Ehmry Bay
Anvil Rock
Kaineng
From a lore perspective, the story of Twilight Arbor repeatable is a lot like a “what if?” situation. Who gets to the Nightmare Tree first? Scarlet is now present in the arbor, and that presence has a very tangible effect on how the Nightmare Court can pull off their race to the tree. Because of that presence, the possibilities are narrowed, and Fyonna will not be able to make it to the tree in time.
This entire explanation makes no sense to me. Ok so if it is a “what if?” type of thing (which I agree completely on), then these dungeons do not effect each other in any way shape or form and are not canon…so then calling Living Story content an explorable mode dungeon makes no sense because Living Story is canon and therefore should leave the explorable modes alone because by definition the two are never at odds. I see this as nothing but throwing away content.
None of this is tied to the LFG tool at all. The type of people you seem to be complaining about have always existed, and this type of thread has been made many many times. The new LFG tool hasn’t changed this in any way. Your sample set may seem worse off than it was before, but your hasty conclusion serves no purpose. All that is happening is that a wider variety of people are going to be doing dungeons now because more of them have a tool to find groups right in front of them that they don’t have to go to a browser for. This however says nothing about which of them are going to be cooperative and attentive to those trying to explain things. Your question is just pointless.
Edit: Also colesy…just…what?
Protip: Those adds are easily pulled. Anytime my group wipes on Kholer, I clean them up easily by using Necrotic Grasp on them one by one. Other classes have similar pulls. Hope that helps.
This new menu item has been there since they added the rare materials collectible tab back at the beginning of the year. My assumption was that, unless it’s a bug, the reason the tab is not enabled yet is because they are doing something different from the other stack system and it probably requires more time to debug. That’s just what makes sense to me though.
Forgive me if I’m mistaken, but there doesn’t seem to be much to discuss specific to dungeons and fractals. I don’t know who would disagree with the usefulness of the 3 bug fixes; I suppose someone might not like the new icon once we are able to actually see it.
Yes but Sarrs means that when you have the same rune set in The Mists as you do in PvE, the two will add together in your x/6 rune count in your Hero panel. So having full Vampirism runes on both PvE and PvP armorsets will result in you 12/6 display when mousing over your armor. This is simply a display bug that has been around for as long as I remember, and it does not actually affect the bonuses you actually receive in practice.
This has to do with a flaw (imo) with how NPC followers work. The issue is that when you wipe on the ghost waves and waypoint to Kholer’s spot you are too far away from Detha’s corpse so her AI tells her to res herself and rush over to you. The problem seems to be that she prioritizes building the cannon over running back to you so she begins building while you are running back, triggering a new wave and putting you in a world of pain depending on how early in the previous wave you wiped.
The best solution I’ve found and that I always use in my guild groups when this happens is that 1 or more corpses must remain in the hall (perferably the closest to Detha) and the others res up and run back. Once the other members are in the room they can either res the others or they can waypoint back and rejoin the group in the hall. This almost always prevents Detha from getting up and messing up your run. Hope this helps.
I just want to say to whoever was just in that small FA group at Hills in CD BL that found me and my mesmer buddy during a sweep, thank you! That moment was absolutely hilarious and great. We managed to pull each other off the cliff in a wonderful mutually assured destruction scenario. It’s been a great week! =D
