Thanks for the suggestion! Does that mean i can start adding trait points into Explosive for the +power bonus? Or do i still just pump all my points into firearms and get gears with +power to increase the damage?

Hi guys, i have recently started playing GW2 and i’ve decided to play the engineer as it seemed very cool. However, i have encountered some issues that prevented me from progressing smoothly especially with regards to combat.

When i level, what kind of stats should i stack on my gears, power or precision? I read several trait build guides on google that focused on maxing out Firearms, hence i have the impression that precision>power even in leveling. I tried using gears with +precision and added all my trait points to Firearms for the +precision bonus but i can hardly kill any mobs my level without dying using the flamethrower kit, its worse with my pistol/shield set as the damage is really bad.

Am i doing something wrong here? Appreciate all help! cheers!
