Another point since you piped in here Gismor, I know for a fact you want to make a difference on CD, it’s obvious and you’ve made it a goal. Know this though Gismor, we are not from where you came from, we’re not all like you and yours and what you’re trying to build. We don’t all want to be on TS3, some don’t want to hear a kitten thing beyond game sounds. Know this though, CD folks do watch keeps, do watch towers, do run dolyaks. CD folks may be “weak underdogs” because of our lower “tier”, but we do refresh siege and set it as we can, and people do sit like kittenes, or dedicated folks to a stupid game, at towers and keeps like any other server.

Yes, I have some animosity in a way and I should say it to you Gismor. You came from what? TC? You expected another group of players and another server to instantly accept you? To accept your style of play and dedication instantly because you came from a “higher” place? Nothing works that way unfortunatly, and I’m sure it’s been kitten you that folks haven’t bowed beneath your superior suggestions.

That all said Gismor, I think you’re getting it. You’re spending alot more time now “sleeping” in towers or spawns because you’re bored that folks aren’t getting “IT”. You chose to come to CD, and we’re not too kitten bad, but if you want to be number 1 then you’re quite a long ways from that and you need to move man. We have shown, vs at least 7 to 1 odds for many weeks now, we still do try. If ya wanna “win” go join the team that has the most numbers.

Sorry, one more post. I honestly game to this game late, and spent 2 weeks with SoS and SBI in WvW when I first joined but I had fun. For me, a total newb, I then fought really hard as we got the Yaks and Kain and won, and it was HARD fought, but it was worthwhile. After a few weeks of that, we encountered 70+ zergs from TC, and others. The best we have as CD is “maybe” 40 and it’s do kitten rare I don’t think i’ve seen it but twice in 2 months.

So again, and I won’t blame it on the janitor but on Anet, what’s the freeking point? TC one week, Mag’s another, and now FA and DB? We cannot compete, it’s simply impossible, and though I really, really like that we try what’s the point?

Now I understand, and thanks for explaining that. RNG – Random Number Generator. How the hell does that help “ANY” WvW matchups though? 1 vs 20? 1200, vs 200? or 3000, vs 100? Are we playing WvW to play this game like we’re hoping we’re going for the “big prize” from a quarter claw machine that gives just a few moves? Seriously FA and DB, should CD be matched with you?

I agree, there isn’t anything wrong with being a janitor and so I apologize. (Though I’d rather have a WvW developer make decisions, and I think they’re leaving it to those that have no clue or context regarding WvW in this game.) I have to ignorantly ask though, what is RNG?

These last matchups the last month scream in my opinion one of two things.

1 – Anet wants to consolidate dedicated WvW’s to a few servers by forcing them to join high pop servers to not get completely BBQ’d.

-or-

2 – The night janitor at Anet is now tasked with making the matchups week to week.

Now the reasoning.

1 – They don’t want to have to maintain the servers for lower tiers, and it’s become expensive to do so.

2 – WvW is not a focus anyway, so who gives a kitten. Glicko is now run by the Geico lizard, aka….the night shift janitor.

As someone from CD, though this wasn’t even CLOSE to as bad as when we met TC, I can only hope….from the forums and how Mag’s manipulated the match…that the Mag’s face TC or even SoR next round. Enjoy your pain kittenes, you deserve it. Also to the Yak’s, you think you “earned” second place on this? Nope, it was given to you. See the last two matches we had, and bring your best should we meet next week, you didn’t win it, Mags gave you it and even admitted it on this forum. If we meet again, show us what ya got.

Still had fun this week though it definitely has been frustrating as a CD’er. Each time we’ve gotten a waypoint up in a keep it feels kitten good. Yeah, we’re gonna lose it after a bit but considering what we’ve been up against it’s an accomplishment. We even had Bankers in CDBL garrison for a while today, gods forfend!

On the ground, with near even numbers there have been some good fights on all sides. Even some outnumbered wins, and also losses when we shouldn’t have. Even though I want to comment on it (and I kind of just did), I’ll keep from going further on the 5-10 defenders vs 40-60 zergs everywhere. Just not much you can do really.

Have enjoyed the spirit and comradarie of those folks willing to attempt to stand up to the hordes. In our next matchups (that are close) I’ll quote Mr T because we’ve been hardened and humiliated by such larger numbers coming at us.

“I pity the fool! …that doesn’t eat my cereal.” Ok, maybe that was Pee Wee Herman, but it still stands!

The pure and simple truth of this match is numbers. Yeah, tactics, planning, buffing, all apply but this game WvW is about numbers. As a CD we can’t match TC, and we don’t have any hope to. I’ve seen incredible defenses by CD, I’ve seen smart, slow sieges from TC as well. The bottom line is, if you have the numbers, and between CD and TC I honestly haven’t seen a situation where we outnumbered you in a siege, it’s the numbers that make the difference.

We all talk about tactics, and they are important, I’ve seen it, but if you outnumber your opponent 2 to 1, or even 3 to 1, your tactics don’t matter so much. As long as your group/zerg aren’t complete morons, you’re going to win. Yeah, alot of people should have more non-squishy gear, etc, etc. But the fact is, squishy or not, if you have 20, and your opponent has 60, and neither group are complete morons, the 60 is gonna win. It’s not that complicated really.

When CD faced the Yak’s and Kain for 2 weeks, with very close numbers and coverage, do you think we were magically better then them? We worked hard to stay together, and siege up as best we could. Do the higher tiers think they’re actually THAT much better then the lower tiers? It comes down to numbers people, and yes it’s important where you put those numbers, in close matches. If you have 500, to your opponents 100, what the hell do you think is gonna happen?

This matchup has been so close and I’m loving it. I even looked back through the history of various matches and I honestly couldn’t find one this close. This is how it should be kitten it. (Though I have to admit some deficiencies in times, Kain in the pre-morning of North America, and Yak in the evening in North America) CD seems to have a good mix in both. Not sure how the hell you work that out, but it’d be nice to not see folks dominating and the disappearing. This is from the CD side personally.
