Out of the three light armour professions, which is the most complex to level and play in a PvE setting?

I’ve got mesmer, elementalist and necro – all around lvl 15 and wonder if elementalist is as complex as everyone says.

I’m out there with her right now, armed with a dagger and warhorn, having a blast with the help of your advice regarding the well of blood and well of suffering . I’m trying with bone minions as I have a spare slot for them at this level and they are proving rather useless.

Hello you lovely ebil necromancers

I like a challenge so I’m picking up my baby level 15 necro to level her despite (or perhaps because of) the changes of 23 June. I understand that condition based builds are now not a good idea so what would you recommend for a purely soloing levelling pve build and which weapon sets should she concentrate on acquiring. I prefer something with a bit of survivability and which won’t be needing lots of corpse runs even if this is at the cost of faster dps – corpse runs are dull – slower killing is still playing the game to me.

I love the pet tanking mechanic as Ranger and in other games (eg demonology in WoW) but also open to being a tanky clothy myself given a large enough health pool.

I see lots about pvp, wvw and end game builds but nothing for us budding necro babies.

TL:DR solo leveling necro build please with which weaps?

Thank you Masher – will try Desolation out first. Like you, I have no probs with diff languages but prefer to understand what most of my server are saying – I’m learning Italian but I’m not that good yet.

I’ve ended up on Fissures of Woe which seems to be an “Italian language server” despite being officially English language.

Could someone please advise me of a name or two of EU unofficial English language servers, preferably busy ones, so I can understand the map chat?

Thank you for posting that Mikpet – I was trying to find the Asura gate portal on the map and it’s not there ;P Found it with your directions. {hugglies}

I also agree that teleporting is much too dear and stops me wandering about as much as I would, looking at all the beautiful graphics they’ve done. Would be far happier with higher repair costs but then am only a baby so don’t know what they are at higher levels.

Free teleports within a region would be ideal with more stringent charges by repairing merchants.

Sorry to be a bit newbie but how exactly can one get to Lions Arch for free from the Mist? Do you mean the PvP Mists? And where is the LA portal in the PvP area? (I’m not a PvPer but would go there to hop about for free to LA)

Thank you for your kind response Hostile. Makes me feel a bit better that it is normal and not an issue. The total download seems to be about 5Gb or so as I’m now 20% into it and have about 1Gb so far. Hefty but still better than the normal d/l of circa15Gb that most MMOs are.

Apologies for not spotting that post either but my download is making page loading SOOOOOO slow and surfing about just isn’t an option.

I’ll sit tight for the next day or so while I wait for the d/l to finish.

Hello Board

I bought the retail box of GW2 to avoid having to download (I live in the countryside and have half a meg broadband due to copper wire).

I installed both CDs this morning and after registering my account and serial number, the client opened and started a download of over 60,000 files – I’m only 17% through it 5 hours later.

Is this the normal CD install update or has my game forgotten/doesn’t know that I’ve installed from CD? What can I do, if anything, to rectify this?

Would appreciate some advice – Anet support has sent some automated stuff about 3 medals in-game – would be nice to be able to get in game ;P
