I briefly (briefly) looked through both text reports and can only spot one hardware issue that is common to both and that is the z77 intel chipset and also that neither of you have the intel chipet drivers installed.

I have the same chipset on my board and figuring out what exactly is needed for it is a challenege. Ive had the same type issues with mine where suddenly the screen is black and you are at the bios bootup. Windows event log is of no help, it just states an error 41 kernel power faliure.

Fernando has an excellent website and forum setup that details intel archetecture and links to drivers of various rel;eses. Get ready to do some reading.

http://www.win-raid.com/

Station drivers is a french site that is the authority for a driver database. Please do not download drivers from any site until you research them – same as any software.

station-drivers.com

Select your mboard manufacturer, model, etc, and it will take you to the page that has the latest drivers for your make and model – even more up to date than your mboard manufacturer. Educate yourself before doing any of this, worst case scenario is you can brick your machine.

Ill also make a note here that in future it will probably be more productive to post support requests on an external website such as winraid, 3dguru, etc. Ill post some links below.

http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/

Overclock.net has a nice forum where there are threads and owners clubs for your motherboard, video card, everything. And although the problem may surface while in gw2, it would also proc in another game given the same set of circumstances.

I believe Ashley is on the right track with power settings as it sounds like an issue with power saving mode switching from 2d to 3d and viseversa.

Please note that Im not tech support, I just happened to look over this post while having morning coffee and saw the same chipset as mine. One of the first things I do when Im about to purchase a product, motherboard, video card, mouse, etc, is to look at the manufacturers support forums for activity and problem resolution.

Can we at least not hide the cursor

Anxiously I was waiting for some sort of improvement in the targeting system with this patch. Well…

Can we at least disable the cursor disappearing when I use it to move the camera? Really, whats the point of having it disappear anyhow? As a single target, no armor class, it is tedious enough to find my target among the flame turrets, minions, pets, without having to first find my cursor.

Please. This is not a complex code fix.

Ill bump this as well. I believe PvP has gone in a very awkward direction. It seems to be based now almost entirely on condi application and cleansing.

The overcompensation thats occurring is the exact opposite of what anet claims they are trying to accomplish. They want to slow the fight down, this isnt occurring. They want to avoid having to rebuild after every patch, this isnt occurring. They want to cut down on the spike damage, again, not happening.

I agree that the changes are cultivating lack of skill. Point in fact, duals with an r3 necro and an r6 mesmer who can consistently, and easily, put down, an r41, and at the end claim they dont know what they are doing, they are just pushing buttons, then the system has spun out of control.

Not even going into the PvP rewards which have been promised for months, and not delivered.

Take a lesson from the PvP community Anet. If you are losing a fight, back out, reset.

Ive tested this myself a couple days post patch in an effort to try and come up with a viable build now that stunbreak is gone from the sword mainhand.

It will proc randomly, and it will not be specific to what you are running. If you are running signets, it could proc venoms.

Its useless, unless you run one of everything and and hope it does not proc the 1 skill you dont have up. So, again, useless.
