Got to agree with OP, Dry Top is very frustrating. I am trying to get to the “recalibrating the waypoints” spot for “Dragons reach part 2”. Nothing is straightforward in this area, I have wasted a lot time getting nowhere. Normal maps don’t help here, does anybody have links to specialised Dry Top maps (preferably not videos) that show routes and jumping points ?

What is a lot of Dragonite Ore/Empyreal Fragments ? As I have got over a 1000 of each from one week of Silverwastes it does now seem readily available. Is there a danger that this will get nerfed ? I am also picking up odsidian shards in Silverwastes, now have 128, previously had none. Has Silverwastes changed the balance of availability ?

After Labyrinth I ended up with loads of bloodstone dust. Now with Silverwastes, I am also getting loads of dragonite ore and empyreal fragments. I have limited myself to a 1000 of each (ie. 4 stacks). As I don’t do any crafting (yet), is there any point in keeping any of these as they now seem readily available in Silverwastes ?

Is there anything special about carapace (and luminescent) armour ? I have
just got the carapace pauldrons and they just seem to some sort of rare
armour. I am probably in a small minority but I don’t care about skins, so is
this new armour any use to me considering I have full exotic armour ?

Thanks for the response, gold infusion now off the list. I won’t be doing any crafting for a while, so will probably pick MF to start with, then replace it with karmic when my
MF percent gets higher.

I have an amulet with an infusion utility socket and I am not sure what infusion to use.
I am a L80 noob doing map completion and daily/monthly tasks. No plans to do any dungeons/fractals/WvW/spvp for a while, but have started to engage champions.

- XP infusion is a non-starter.
- Karmic infusion sounds good, but what do you do with the karmic mountain ?
- Magic find infusion seems a safe bet.
- Gold infusion don’t know.

So what does “gold from monsters” mean and how useful is it for someone like me ?

Just on my first visit to the Cursed Shore and come across the broken Elana. Is she always like that or does she reset sometimes ?

Thanks for the answers. A related question, if I complete a low level area with a L80 character will the reward be low level or L80 ?

When I first started GW2 I thought about doing map completion. Now that I am nearly L70, I estimate I will have less than 50% done by the time I am L80. Rather than roam around unvisited low level areas with my current character, is it possible to do more of the map on a new character (keeping existing completion) or will the map reset with a new character ?
