Give me a warning message before allowing me to socket an upgrade into an item which renders it non-recoverable. I don’t want to destroy my old karma helm and the really cool rune I put in it too because I forgot that it was a karma purchase and I can’t salvage the darn thing.

Also, if it’s armor or a weapon, I should be able to salvage it, period. If I can salvage other armor and weapons, there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be able to salvage my karma stuff.

I did pay for it, after all. Let me recover some of the value.

This has always always ALWAYS bugged me in mmos. Sure, my armor breaks. Sure, it needs to be fixed. But WHY do I have to pay an npc to fix it when I made it? I’m not saying that I should be able to fix it anywhere (I can’t very well carry around a forge, and I may not have all the items on hand) but when I’m at the armorcrafting station, let me fix my armor. Charge me crafting materials from my collection or cash if you must, but don’t make me run to a repair npc to fix something that I made.

It just doesn’t make sense.

Also could we make gathering tools account-bound rather than soulbound? If I’ve paid for lower-level tools on one character and I’m moving to a higher area, I’d like to be able to pass those tools to another of my lower-level characters, instead of having to “use them up” or lose them.

I can trade money amongst my toons- I can use karma to buy cooking supplies, etc. for other toons. Let me give my other toons lower-level harvesting tools (which I have purchased with either gold or karma), PLEASE.

Also if we harvest an insane number of items, could we get perma-tools? If you need a gold sink they could take damage upon death like armor does… but I’d really like a reward for being a diligent harvester, and also I’d like to not have to buy new tools all the time. A forester doesn’t carry around disposable axes, after all- he carries one, and it takes damage as it’s used.

Same thing on this for shields. I don’t want to see my toon’s hair going through it, please.

+1 for this. It’s a small thing but I like seeing my name above my toon’s head.
