Edited above post. I’m playing at 5120×1440 resolution over three screens (2560×1440 in the middle, a 1280×1024 in each side as it’s all I can afford at the moment). User interface is set to large. I guess that the game reverts to a default UI width if it thinks it’s too wide to push it to the corners of the display

Having posted this full screenshot, I can see that the bar is actually there but right off to the side, on what would be my right hand screen. As my side screens are lower resolution they crop a lot of the top and bottom off and hence I’ve never seen this before now!

Either way this issue should be fixed as gliding prompts also seem to be all the way over on the right ("press space to open glider ") but nice to know my game is not somehow corrupted

Unfortunately I don’t have any other classes at level 80 or I would definitely try it!

I did do the first bit of the HoT story but only to unlock the mastery system for core tyria. As I bought the game when HoT came out, I wanted to do the living story 2 content before HoT, but not waste XP (post-level 80) that I could be putting into masteries. So now that gliding is coming to core tyria, I thought I’d just unlock gliding mastery too so that I could use it in the main game.

I now remember that for basic gliding in the tooltip it also mentioned “Requires Heart of Thorns: 3” which I assume might mean act 3 of the story? I’ve not finished act 3 of HoT yet so maybe that’s why, but you’d assume it would be bound into the gliding mechanic that it would just work anyway

Not sure if maybe it’s cos I’m only half way through living story 2 and haven’t actually got to the HoT storyline yet…. In which case still a bug, but maybe an explanation?

Using 64 bit client, latest drivers, Xfire AMD 7870s

I’ve just learned the basic gliding mastery but I notice that I don’t have an endurance bar to show me how long I’ve got left before falling. Is this a setting somewhere or a bug that others are having?

I’m halfway through LS2, but have done the first bit of the HoT story to unlock the mastery system for core tyria. So now that gliding is coming to core tyria, I thought I’d just unlock gliding mastery too so that I could use it in the main game.

After I jump and press space, the glider deploys but no endurance bar to tell me how long I’ve got left. Eventually I fall after around 10-15 seconds as expected.

I’ve finished act 3 of HoT but nothing changed. I have many of the central tyria masteries unlocked like autoloot.

In addition I’ve also just repaired the game to diagnose a separate issue that I traced to my graphics drivers, this didn’t bring the bar back.
