The Guild Interface is extremely messy as is, and I’m not sure why it was altered so much from the system that worked so well in GW1.
First of all, when you first press “G” to open up the tab, the people that are online should be ordered by rank rather than alphabetically. It irks me every time I see the ranks in my guild all jumbled up at the top of the tab.
Second, I hate the feature allowing people to be in multiple guilds. That makes it really difficult for a guild to establish a good connection with new members, because if something isn’t happening in the first 30 minutes that people join up, they get bored, see another guild spamming in chat, and decide to give them a shot for a minute.
Third, where are guild halls and GvG? GvG was the most exciting part of PvP in GW1, and, after all, the game is called GUILD WARS. There’s no longer any form of guilds specifically warring against each other, and I really hope that’s corrected in the near future. As for the guild halls, they are an absolute necessity. It gives people a place to hang out with guildies and get to know one another, and with the ability to purchase merchants through influence for the hall, it would provide another perk for being in a large, influential guild.
Fourth, and most importantly, is that we’re sorely missing a feature in the guild interface that allows us to see when the last time members logged in was. It gets difficult to keep track of who all is active right off the top of your head once you get over 100 members, and it’s necessary to be able to trim out the people who’ve quit playing in order to make room for new people and to make the member count in the guild a fair representation of how many active members we actually have. This is by far the most pressing issue I have with the current system.
