Guild Wars 2

One option I’ve tried that seems to work is to enable the -maploadinfo option. Amend the properties of your GW2 shortcut’s Target setting to

“C:\…\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -maploadinfo

This seems to force bi-directional communications with the server, so the connection doesn’t drop. it also tells you how far the map has loaded.

oh, almost forgot about underwaters. maybe Juggernaut and Kraitkin?

I am a UK player on Orange as ISP (who use BT infrastructure). I can get to the character select screen, but I’ve not been able to login any character for the last 2 days; however, if I use battleping (http://battleping.com) I can login and play, so I assume that there is a network problem somewhere with BT.

I have the same problem, in that I can’t login with any of my characters, but if I use battleping (http://battleping.com), the game loads and runs fine. This means that there is a problem somewhere, but I don’t know where. I believe that a lot of players with problems are UK based.
