Thanks for reminding me to clean out my inbox. I was starting to wonder why I wasn’t getting any new messages from people. Inbox clean now!
As for state of the game stuff, we here at Anet don’t host or coordinate those. I asked our community team about the potential to do it, and they expressed openness to it, but we don’t farm that stuff out – the community has to come to us with the offer I guess. We just kind of show up and answer questions I guess, lol.
Just wanted to pop in and say that we’re already working on a PvE version of SotG. :) We’ve gotten everything ready and have contacted ANet about it. Now we’re just waiting on them to coordinate a few things. So (hopefully) expect it soon!

Hey everyone! We were able to sit down with Colin Johanson last week in London for lunch and Q&A. Here’s what he had to say:

In case you missed the livestream yesterday, we have the recording uploaded to YouTube now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=I0togRMEc_o
Note: It’s an sPvP State of the Game. We’re currently looking for someone with experience and drive to help us organize and host a PvE and WvW version. So if you’re interested, please send me a PM over on GW2Guru! Thanks.

To quote caffynated:
“I liked what the devs had to say for the most part. The problem is that they’re only talking to tPvP players who see everything through their gun fight in a hallway meta. They whine about things being OP that are weak anywhere outside of a shoe box. These SOTG talks really need to include people from WvW who have a better handle on how classes interact in a more complex environment than a 12’ radius circle.”To be fair, I think this SotG thing is for sPvP. If some enterprising WvW players started something similar for WvW we would come talk about WvW. Expect the balance part of these discussions to focus on sPvP because that is who we think the audience of that stream is. Same thing goes for PvE, and at one point Jonathan did mention those formats and that we are working on balance issues in all these areas.
Hi, Khalija from GW2Guru here. We’re actually looking for someone with experience to help us organize and host a PvE and WvW version of the SotG. If this is something you’d be interested in, please PM me over at GW2Guru.

Came here to report the same thing. That, and the RSS feed seems a bit busted as it doesn’t keep updated so it’s pointless to use.

My suggestion is to remove the “kick from guild” option from right-clicking someone’s portrait. There’s really no reason this option should be available outside the Guild UI (G), especially right next to “send mail”.

I went to cancel a build and accidentally sped up the process instead. I canceled the build after that thinking I would have my influence refunded like normal, but that was not the case.
If I cancel after speeding it up, I should still get refunded the entire amount. I’ve just lost 1250 influence because of this.
