Gaile, the update says “121110-002302: Botting; will not be reinstated”?! Can I still send more information into the ticket to prove I’m innocent because I seriously do not bot or use any third-party program of that sort. Does screenshots help because I have about half a dozen of screenshot of me playing guild wars 2 and doing world bosses. Also, is the serial code, the code for activating the account? I really do not bot and I want to prove my innocence and get my account unbanned. Thank you.

Opened the ticket since Saturday Nov. 10th, 2012 around 1pm, about a few minutes after I got banned and was unable to log in.
Been about 6 days since I was banned due to the accusation of botting.
All the information I can provide has been updated and post in the ticket.
Please review and hopefully resolved, thank you.

Hi all ! I have bought this game off the official site from Anet. After being charged (Anet took the money, transfer completed successfully and completely) I got banned and accused to have a fraudulent purchase. Now I’ve been banned for over a week and I got this response :

I apologize for the delay in our response; we have an unusually high ticket volume which we are working through as quickly as possible.

This Guild Wars 2 game account has been permanently closed. The attempted purchase of the Guild Wars 2 Serial Code used to create this account was voided as the transaction was found to be fraudulent in nature.

In addition to the permanent closure of the game account, the credit or debit card used in the transaction has been permanently blocked in our system. There is no option to have this account reopened or to have the block removed from the game account.

If you wish to access the Guild Wars 2 service going forward, you will need to purchase a serial code from another authorized retailer. A list of authorized retailers can be found here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/retailers#UnitedStates-physical.

There is no further assistance we can provide for this issue.

In other words. ArenaNet took my money , then banned my account claiming the key is fraudulent while it was directly off their site (And I showed them evidence that it was bought from their site with their own ordernumber and everything) and they tell me to buy another copy of the game from ANOTHER authorized retailer. <- mark the word another. Not just an< but ANOTHER. Meaning my key was already bought from an authorized retailer, yet I have to buy another key from ANOTHER authorized retailer.

This is getting so hopeless…

I got the same message… What can we do ? How can I sue them or hack their servers or spread this information all over web, facebook, twitter, all the mmorpg sites… Need to contact with IGN,Gamespot or anything as we move as one, with proofs… We have been laid off by NCSoft !

We got laid off? More like we paid for their service and they just ran off with our money.

Congratulations, you received a “copy and paste” response. It seems like majority of people having that kind of problem is receiving the same exact response you just did from “Matt S”. I guess whoever is behind the responses doesn’t really care as much as they said they do.

ArenaNet, you have your solution. Give all the good people on this thread (and many others) their accounts back, give us some gems, maybe a title, and we’ll probably forgive you. Simple.

LOL, don’t we all wish. We’re even lucky to even get our accounts back as of now.

Hey guys! Look! After waiting for 4 days after submitting a report for being banned for being accused of “botting”, I got a response and here is what they said:

“Hello,

Your Guild Wars 2 account has been closed for using an illegal third-party program.

I want you to know that we take great care when analyzing accounts prior to termination. NCsoft support staff is both diligent and conservative in determining which accounts are using these programs, and we only terminate an account only after we are able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that such use has occurred."

I really resisted on posting here because I seriously thought that my problem would get resolved and I would get my account back so I can happily go back to playing guild wars 2 which I enjoyed playing very much but nope! I get this reply in which they are still accusing me that I “bot” whereas I clearly know along with others I play with, that I clearly do not. Everything I have earned and achieved in that game, I did all by myself without any “third party program” helping me. I played this game all the way back when it was BWE3 and I have not once used any programs like “botting” or anything similar to that and I’m still being accused. I waited 4 days for that reply…. Wonder how long it will take for the next reply to get back to me…. without counting the chances of them still accusing me of “botting”
