The Dutch Fellowship first started as other guild named: Brothers of War. After a while we were getting more members and some of them were female, so we thought the name was not suitable anymore. So after a poll we decided to take a name from a Guild Wars 1 guild from one of our members. The Dutch Fellowship.
We are a casual guild with a few hardcore players. To play a part in WvW and maybe other big event we would like to work together with other dutch guilds to play a big part. If you would like more info read the dutch version or email: info@guild-tdf.nl

The Dutch Fellowship is eerst begonnen onder een andere naam, Brothers of War. Als eerst begonnnen met 2 broers en een paar vrienden. De guild speelde niet alleen Guild Wars. Na verloop van tijd is de guild steeds meer gegroeid en waren er niet alleen mannen in de guild, maar ook vrouwen. Vandaar dat wij het gepast vonden om een nieuwe naam te bedenken voor onze guild. Na een poll vonden wij de naam van een guild members Guild Wars guild het meest geschikt, The Dutch Fellowship.
Wij zijn een casual guild, met een paar spelers die hardcore en zelfs in de top hebben gespeeld. Het doel voor The Dutch Fellowship is om een gezellige, maar toch ook een goede en volwassen guild te zijn. Een groep gamers waar je graag mee samen speelt.
Mocht je onze guild willen joinen kan je je aanmelden via het aanmeld formulier.

I believe that’s the plan. Though, I think it would be great if chat was via XMPP or something like that. Admittedly I’m not all that familiar with XMPP, so not sure how feasible that would be.
My guild already has an application process on our website, it would be pretty awesome if clicking “Accept” on the website also sent out an in-game invitation, and perhaps even a “Welcome!” in-game mail.
I was thinking the same, It would be pretty awesome! Guild management, message of the day, guild bank management, chatting. Just thinking of this kind of interaction makes me happy. But can a dev confirm this?
Are we going to be able to POST/PUT in the future?
Like editing the message of the day, or editing guild members rank, or inviting players to the guild, or able to chat (just a few of the many things you can do with it.)
I asked this in the guild suggestion topic, but I would like to know if you’re thinking about it or its completely out of the question or its a feature coming in the future.
As I said in the guild suggestion topic, the dev topics/replies aren’t excluding the feature, so far I found.
I’d also love to see the ability to change the rank as I have a automated script running on my website that lets users choose between ranks and let me know they are active.

I highly doubt that Anet is going to introduce any writeback functionality in the API, i.e. it’s going to remain read-only. In the past, they mentioned releasing a mobile app that would let you participate in chat, but we haven’t heard anything about that since release.

“that will allow websites and applications to talk to our API " As I understand “talk” is 2 way communication, and read-only is not really talking.. please correct me if i’m wrong. I haven’t found a post from a dev yet that denies the possibility of being able to post data to them in the (hopefully near)future.

I think they should make a it possible to change stuff through API… But make it limited so it cannot be abused. Example: Bot just invites all characters he can find into his guild. ( limit the invites to 1 invite per 1-5 minutes orso ) ..
If there is gonna be a write back feature, I really want to be able to manage my guild with my website, this will make the boring administration stuff go away. and more play time available!
I’d like to see a guild roster,
with: username(and or)id, rank, last online, status, last map id, server id, achievement points , last character online
All just like the guild roster ingame.
Maybe add crafts? but this could also be added to the character API?
Also would like to see total members, total online right now, most online at (date and number)

Get a list of upgrades done and available? and to be upgraded? and a list of influence gain? like the history tab ingame.
Show if any bonuses are active. / Guild misisons are running.

Maybe also give influence as public value?
This is just a quick thought of what I would like to see. I bet lots of other people already thought of this.. I hope you make this API as responsive and complete as possible. I’ve been waiting so long for this and am so happy right now!!!
Thats weird imo, cause there are lots of other sites/tool that also do this, and never get blocked or anything..
I think they should just release the API already, they promised/showed something like that or atleast the extended experience.. still no word on that. I’ve been waiting for an API since before release.. and ATM building a new website for my guild and I could really use the API, as lots of other people.
Just release the tool please!!!! or give out a beta version so we can start using it and help test all the bugs out of it.. I’m getting tired of waiting for this feature!!
got the same message accidently click the link looking for my SS code so I could reset my password and log-in but closed it before it loaded. I changed the e-mail my account goes with usually I get messages from anet or GW2 team on there, but this e-mail went to the old one, I can only assume its a scam just like the ones for WoW that continue to get sent to me even though I’ve never had a WoW account.
P.S. I would replace the link with something like this
account.guildwars2.com/allow-login?token=(random letters and numbers) that way no one clicks it and gets a key logger
No one will get a keylogger by clicking that link in the forum.. if you look at the source code of the email, the real URI behind the code points to NOT a arena net domain.

I already got 2 emails. A tip, never click a link b4 inspecting the real URL its gonna send you to.
if you can always copy -> past the uri. the copied uri(text not the hyperlink) won’t send you to the keyloggers domain, as its just account.guildwars2.com.. without any subdomain. or just go to the site where the your account is and login there.
I’ve made a tool to get data from the leaderboards, to get like the position of my world and when they have enough players on the achievement leaderboard, get the points for every guild member. Is this even allowed? or is there a API coming to receive this kind of data?
When I finished the tool. I would like share this code with my other guilds in my alliance.

It’s not that great imo, I like the idea of those icons, but its not practical and not optimized(images are all png, but no reason why they should be png). also the website is just a simpel html template with a forum link on the images. I liked your and AriaSilverfyre.8702 website more.
I know this is an old topic, but still waiting for the API.. I think its a great idea, but they should look at Eve Online’s API.. Its great and has brought alot of great apps, website and tools to the world.. You only get access to your guild/character by a secret code, almost every corp requires this from you, also you have a full permission code that you can see a lot more data..
Maybe not the ability to look up other player, but only able to see if you have a code from them. Its works for Eve Online.. and I think it will work for Guild Wars 2 aswell.. I’d like to have a guild API ( that only the guild leader can get ) so you can get guild info, and change stuff in the guild, like change players ranks, activate upgrade, kick players from guild, invite players to the guild, edit message of the day, see active upgrades, see players online/offline and more..
And for the limited player API, see all characters (lvl, prof,crafts, stats and more). And full API, see gold per char and bank and items in the bank/collectable-storage(chat ability as youself from web or anywhere)..
I really like the website, good job done there! I’d like to link my guilds website aswell. Although I think this is the wrong forum where this topic should be started.

Shrapnel mine has a typo, “bleedD” ingame and on wiki.
Also Roll for Initiative works weird underwater, if used it will launch you backwards for an insane distance(not always).
