reply to you guys, my final thoughts, and feedback:

yes I stayed in beast mode for the buff that I gain when I merge with my pet (fer and power)
causing these ez bursts.
yes, I didn’t use dagger, because it offers nothing other than useless skills and bad dmg.
yes, I haven’t use the stances because they are bugged. and in my opinion, i don’t like them.

now what i think anet should do to help soulbeast get out from its depressing state is:

-replace the useless traits
-shorten the CD on the stances ( maybe by using a trait that buffs stances and reducing the
recharge
-increase the dmg on the dagger and make the attacks much faster
- make a new option in beastmode where players can swap pets(f4) while in beast mode,
instead getting out of beast mode swap pets, wait for 10s and then re enter beast mode
again just to use the f1 2 3 skills
- or add a new set of bar skills when entering beastmode(like cele avatar on druid) with aoe
skills that can help in zerg fights through healing, condi cleanse giving us that survivability that
we need on soulbeast and some dmg skills for pvp,
- please make the smokescale ability evadable, buff the beastmode skills,
and fix the bugs with the beast mastery trait line

with that, i personally think it would be enough to help soulbeast become a great
spec with its gamestyle in each of the 3 game modes.

I am confident you could have beaten all your opponents on core ranger as well. Soulbeast certainly is more fun than core ranger though, because using gs and maul (buffing itself) is worth using over sword auto attacks in terms of dps.

yes i could have beaten all of these guys on core and more easier on druid, but soulbeast is fun with its crits and its style. at the start anet made a ranger, with hot they gave us druid for more survivability and support and with pof anet gives us an unfinished product which is the soulbeast as a POWER SPEC IM PRETTY SURE they know that it has alot of bugs that need to be fixed ( they even said in the guildchat that tech wise it was one of the complicated specs to develop) , there is a separate team working on each spec, this is not the final form ( they got 1 month to discuss the community problems with the soulbeast and listen to us through forums) i at least hope that they help soulbeast grow in each aspect in the game. for example in wvw they can buff the stances to make it a good zerger that can support its allies and itself, in pvp they *should redo some traits to help it with the survivability and I personally want this ( to be able to change pets while in beastmode) and buff/fix them as well
all we need to do is give them our feedback and how can they improve it..

although it has some problems soulbeast is still fun to play and here is a vid of my gameplay with it in wvw.

build used:
full mara with monk rune for the boon duration (protection)
and 4 captains trinckets

zerk lb with sigil of energy and bloodlust sigil
zerk gs with sigil of energy and sigil of air

traits:
Wilderness survival 232
skirmishing 211
soulbeast 323
unstopable union for 4s of unblockable attacks when entering beastmode which is vey usefull
essense of speed for the boon duration
and opportunity survival for the dps buff

rest of the utility skills are the same as in the vid.

i think that soulbeast has aot of potential, it just needs beastmode pet skills buff/fix
and nerf cd on stances with a change of some traits to help more in survivability

Yah dura runes would be the best choice in wvw, for pvp i was thinking of rune of the grove with seeker/divi amulet.

ive been away from the game for almost 2 years so i didnt get to enjoy the druid in wvw, but i’ll be picking up this build until the Soulbeast is out.

Barskin got removed from the game. I imagine it will impact this build quite a bit. Are you changing anything up?

i hope u like this build in wvw untill soulbeast comes and maybe soulbeast will live up to your expectations.
as for my build after the patch, yes barskin has been removed that decreases my damage reduction, but since im zerk ill have to swap some trinckets with maybe knight or cavalier stats to help with the dmg reduction, and ill have to swap my rune from dolyak to maybe a boon duration rune, since barskin has been replaced with Rugged Growth this helps with healing reg while getting affected by protection and with companions defense and my energy sigils on both weapons this gives me 6+s of protection+reg thats almost perma protection. i would say it got slightly nerfed but buffed aswell.
this is only for wvw, my pvp build is the same. but yah ill have to test it out more.

My guess, you play a sustain build and it takes forever to kill anything and you have to speed the vid up or zzz

its simple, in my vids i aim for a max of 13 min and to include as much good fights as i can.

now sure u can say that im speeding it up just to make my dmg look faster, but you can fight me in game and judge for yourself, u can ask ppl about me, u can watch all my ranger vids and see for yourself (some of them i didn’t speed up), u can watch them in slow motion, and finally you can check my build.
Now I can upload a 25min montage but it won’t be as fun as a 13 min montage, its just what the majority of ppl like, and lastly you can see my dps in the vids ^^

Assuming this will fall on deaf ears, but I’m curious about how vehemently you defend the insanely long intro…

What do you think the intro is adding to the video? Related, do you always watch commercials instead of skipping them on youtube? Your intro is longer than a commercial and is equally important to the viewer.

If you feel the intro is presenting over half a minute incredibly important info, I’d suggest moving it to the end, where people can care about it or not after judging your content worth caring about or not. They also don’t need to fiddle around trying to find the start of the actual content, they can just close the video if they don’t want to watch anymore (which is what I do if someone has a more than ~3 second intro anyway.)

There are nearly 100 million videos on youtube; the competition is way too high to turn off viewers at the very start.

i agree the intro is bad to the video but all my vids need an intro. im just used to it and i cant change that. for me i dont skip vids if the intro is more than 3 sec i keep watching and seeing how good the content is. as i said man maybe you and some others dont like the intro and therefore decided to skip the vid . others may have enjoyed the vid regardless of the intro and the speedup

aight im here to end these comments about the speed up intro stuff and handle the constructive criticisms . and swagger i wont stop posting stuff.. some will still love my content and some wont. its always like that with all gw2 vids.

the video guys has a problem and its the intro 40 sec is too much for an intro, I thought it doesn’t matter that much as alot of vids start with 40 sec+ intro but anyways ill try to cut it to make it 28 sec ( i cant do more sorry). about the speed up i really tried to speed up the parts where I didn’t feel they matter alot where for example i was fighting the war or the necro or the kiting with 5 guys, i thought all these are useless if i would play them in a normal speed. it will be more than 20 min, ( i always try to make my vids not pass 13-14min) some said that i should make highlight vids as in 3 min vids. im sorry but I really like to make a full montage about it. about the transitions, yes had alot mistakes about them, sorry cant fix them :/ . i think i covered all my edit problems. i am really sorry for people who couldn’t watch the video because of the edits and im glad of the ppl who thought that it wasn’t a big deal and watched the vid. thanks and hope you all have a good day. if you still got any comments about the vid please do. ill try to learn from my mistakes for the future.

I just posted my main build in the description of the vid . Your build relies only on dps. For me i have dolyak runes instead of ranger for the reg of cele form while kiting. And i use skirmishing instead marksmanship for the quickdraw, increased prec, and vigor. Quick draw alone is really op when used at the right time to survive. and some changes in druid line

And i dont want that even tho the stacks might be more. Its all about bursting the enemy faster before he toys with me. And i get alot of CDs

How do you deal with being so slow without traveler runes or using retreat/staff? Are you always in a group that can provide swiftness?

as you have seen on most of my vids i run solo and with HCM sometimes, honestly i don’t get why do ppl need traveler runes, if u are looking for fights you should be the one following ppl, the same goes for the enemies they will be coming to you, maybe it would be useful when you are running from 10+ or a zerg, but as u have seen in this vid i was running from 4 guys , the moment i stood and fought i got 3 downed, i new after that that i should have fought them from the start, but i unfortunately wasted alot of skills running. + you got sword 3, judges intervention and wings of resolve for mobility, for me i have used these 3 alot in running from ppl, catching them, and running from zerg ( i can make a ful montage of me using these 3 to escape zergs, and run from enemies easilly) and hey its better to die to 5+ rather than 1-2.

If that build is used for roaming then you would need to have some condi clear. maybe swap MS with WS 232. You need to balance between mobility and and your burst dps. Most of ppl now run condi mez now that they got boosted. + defiantly swap gs with staff. Best of luck out there

Yawn – another burn guard. So easy to play, no challenge whatsoever. Killing 5+ is easy w/ Burn (condi in general – really).

Only reason to play it is for the Lawls

Actually fighting a good burn is not that hard. I lose alot of 1v1s on my burn dh. My burn dh vids are not to show how skilled i am but to entertain ppl and lols

well in one of my vids i do a 1v2 with 2 rangers and as u saw i killed one of them but the other one was shout druid with nomads i really needed alot of time to kill him. they really are a pain in the peep. and with acro thieves yup its hard to kill them. i mean i play acro and only way to kill them is with shout druids.

non of the players i fought are F2p they all got hot. and it was a 2v1 and i was still about to die lol. maybe he made a new account and got his stuff transferred dont underestimate anyone.note that im not using bm or nm and im mara/zerk. and the main fight was the 3v10

last fight was soo hard but i never gave up >:)

Azuro had 6 stacks of burning on him, yes. Sucks that he gets knocked during the tick that killed him. Would he have cleared that burn without the ranger? We’ll never know, doesn’t belong in a video.

Upon review, 2:40 was indeed a keep guard. Sorry my bad, discolored opinion from the first instance. But, I also suspect Itsy took that silly hammer of his off and asked for a rematch. Generally there’s a code of etiquette in those dueling areas about posting video of the round you won I’ve taken heat from the duelers about that myself <,<

Im pretty sure that the ranger attacked him after he went down and about both of these dhs i can make another vid where i show the full 12min deuls with me and them and me still winning but i just wanted to use the most intense close fights i had with them otherwise ppl will just say they are bad. Which they are not.

DH and warrior are the greatest counters to burning. However a good burn guard can still set up a kill on a warrior in the 4s window you have to down him between his resistance and blocks. Yeah good players will try and avoid PF that’s why its your job to force the proc 2x when it goes down and 2 more times pulling them through.
Hard to do? Yeah. Takes practice and knowing their stability timers. But once you get good at it people drop like flies even good players.

as i said in wvw for roaming burn dh is just op if u are good with it. next montage hopefully ill focus wars and power dhs. for the next pvp patch i think burn dh will be viable again especially with the amulet and the burn duration buffs. ill try and take as much footage as i can from the new season of pvp.

i alreadt went to 1v1 spvp servers and the build is still op there. still good wars may have a chance if they time there resistance correctly.

Just curious, why not choose Virtues/Valor/Radiance with Judges/Smite/Contemplation? You’ll have enough condi cleanses in 1v1, more sustained pressure damages and “god-like” condi bursts when you hit in groups.

You’ll lose out on Stability but your condi sustains will virtually remain unchanged. I feel the dmg gained outweighs its cons.

well Believe me i tested your build and the dps on the other one is far better, if u focus in the fights in the video u can see how im using spear of justice and purging flames a lot. they are really helpfull spear of justice can get your target to 4-5-6 stacks of burn depending on your condi duration and that can just kill him in 3-4 ticks remember dont pull your target unless u got purging flames or if u want to interrupt him. same goes with purging flames (ik its insane but the skill says 14874 dmg for only 3 stacks). and about condi clear u got complimentary and purity + the block trait+wings of resolve. i compared both, max i can get on your build is 12-14 stacks but on this build its 19-23 stacks burn

Those guards you fought are so bad.. power DH should never lose vs a burn DH 1v1..let alone some 1v2. Fun vid though.

well true the hardest class for me to kill is power DH BUT.i dueled alot of good power DHs, like they just main DH and i still beat them ill make sure to put some 1v1 fights in the next montage. its all about patience when fighting them. and thanks for supporting the vid

The results are promising, but I wouldn’t call this build God-like. It makes for an excellent roamer for sure since most people you fight tend to be geared to fight againt power-based opponents. Even if they have the condi-cleanse to deal with burn-guard, they tend to neglect watching their condi-bar until you’ve surprised them and it’s too late.
I won’t mark up your build to being purely surprise-based though; you do take out a [love] druid early on in the video in a straight-up duel who is either quickcry or a guildie of his using quick’s build which is AWESOME! (but I’ll bet he got you a lot moooorrre)
That’s something that probably only a couple of power-based DH in this entire game can do 1v1!

True this is an excellent roaming build. And yah saying goldlike is
exaggeration. And yah that guy is quick we deuled alot u can go back to the stream and check the fights out i think results ended up 6 for me 2 for him if i remember. Note that He changed his build alot to try and counter mine between each deul.
