I changed my dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, moved them up to be the first 2 dns to use and it worked.

Went to a second computer on my network, and tried to connect (just to see if the dns really was the issue or if it was a coincidence)..it didn’t work. Then I added the two dns to that computer, moved them up the list and it connected. I have no idea why my old dns all of a sudden stopped knowing where Anet servers are but <shrug> at least this is working. Maybe others should try this.

Yesterday it was fine, today I get

Connection Error(s) detected. Retrying…

I did the release/renew and dns flush. I contacted my ISP. I verified no firewall or security programs causing this issue.

While it might not be on ANet’s end I can guarantee you it’s not on my end. Tracert to arenanetworks.com fails. I did the -diag start on the game and in part the diagnostic shows:

I think what would be good is if we as the buyer could choose which item we want to buy. I know when I’m looking for something that has a high value and I see someone undercut someone else by 1 copper, I’d rather buy the higher price one (heck, it’s just a copper anyway right?) I’d rather do this because the guy that under cut had the choice to under cut but that doesn’t mean I like that selling tactic and I’d rather not support it but ANet doesn’t give me the chance. If I use the check box to choose the second item, the system thinks I want both. When I was selling a legendary, I didn’t under cut anyone, I matched the lowest seller. I wish others would do the same, but I get it’s the economy and I just choose not to do that myself. I’d still like the option to choose from the available items which price I want to pay. No chance at an exploit, because we don’t know who is selling the items and if we want to spend more money, why not?

TLDR: Let the buyer choose which item of all available they will purchase.

I’m pretty sure LA will be rebuilt. But how long will it take and how will it looks like? We don’t know.

I’d say 1 year for LA to be rebuilt and the design will be completely changed due to its destruction.

Just talking about this….maybe it will be rebuilt into a steampunk theme after the returning inhabitants use all the watchwork metal scrap left from Scarlet’s armies to rebuild the city.

Lifetime survivor is broken, pumpkin carving is broken.

Seems many are 1 shy from being completed. Those ones are the ones that broken. Others are obviously not done and weren’t close to being done.

The issue with the dragon chests should only effect people who park characters at dragons and don’t play them anywhere else. Is this what you are doing?

This is contradictory. A more clear answer would be appreciated. Tonight I used my ranger to run the Teq event three times. Each time I went back to Lion’s Arch and sold up and banked and then logged in my 70+ necro to run around maps and do stuff. When Teq was back up, I logged in my ranger, paid the WP costs to Sparkfly and downed Teq. Twice I got a chest the last time I didn’t. I’ve played this game ALL DAY in any number of maps with 3 different toons. The one I play the best is the one I would naturally want to do dragons with. Your safety net catches the wrong players and yes, we’ll complain about it. I don’t care that I’ve gotten all blues, or maybe a green. I don’t care I haven’t seen an exotic drop off a dragon chest in over a month. I care that I didn’t get the chance. The chest should always appear. I did the work. Please get this resolved.
