I don’t know maybe I make a part 2 to break down how to utilize focus for anyone who didn’t quite understand what they were watching. I sometimes forget that focus is the forgotten offhand that not nearly enough attempt to use cause no bambam big number pewpew loot. I’m just not sure its actually worth the effort though.

Maybe you should, because the rest of us are clearly too stupid to understand what you’re being so defensive and condescending about. Maybe part 2 can demonstrate these new discoveries unearthed in WvW 2017 that’s been overlooked since 2012.

Cool Aion track by the way.

[Concern] Will Anet actually fix the Mirage?

Judging by Mesmer’s history in GW2, I think we may be in for a long ride. I hope they’ve been listening to the ample feedback and are able to filter their own ideas, because Mirage immediately struck me as a class that was put together based around their attachment to superficial things (the name, how cool Mirrors look, etc.) rather than solid, cohesive mechanics.

In GW1, Mesmer was just about the worst PVE class for most of its life. It wasn’t until the last few years of GW1 where Mesmers went from being the worst to the best in PVE due to damage that ignored armor, on top of the myriad of disruptions they already had…So changes are possible!

They were always one of the most irritating classes to go up against in PvP though.

[Feedback] Utilities, Cloak, and Mirrors

Thematically, I don’t understand Mirage Mirrors. If we’re the Mirage “artist”, why are we having to run to our own mirages? Isn’t the whole point of the name “Mirage” supposed to make our opponents see things that aren’t there, therefore putting them in a state of confusion and on the defense? Running to our own mirrors to activate our class gimmick not only puts us on defense instead, but is also clunky.

Also, I didn’t get to test this during the weekend, but what do opponents see when we put down the mirrors? Is it the same diamond graphic? If so, then it’s not really much of a mirage is it? If that’s the case then the whole mirage theme is even more half-baked.

Now to discuss the more gameplay side of things, I think there should be a punishment for enemies destroying our mirrors/clones. It would actually bring back some of the punishment and calculated risk aspects that Mesmers were famous for in GW1.

I don’t have much else to say about our utilities that hasn’t already been said, and I agree with with the feedback so far.

~100 words is rough, so I’ll just write down what I didn’t like and hope it provides something new. (What I did like has already been said.)

- Hearts take a bit too long.

- I didn’t like the lighting on the character select screen. I prefer the one we have now. Maybe you can just make the background + lightning like HoT’s but make the streaks of color purple instead of green? Or a selectable choice.

- In the prologue, after running through the cave with the spiders, if you turn back, it boots you out immediately and makes you redo the whole story again.

- Some of the mastery points should probably be instanced. Ex: The Simon says one. I can imagine this one being annoying on launch day with a blob of people running back and forth between the altars.
