Just adding my frustration with how the single use skin was handled…

After very long and stressful week at work I finally got around to finishing the META and get the helmet. It being really THE piece to finish my set (with Jetpack and The Predator <3), I got a little too excited and added it onto the helmet of my elementalist instead of engineer. Silly mistake, even made a ticket but got the same response I now read everywhere else… “Policy = never refund items”

Now even if it was possible to switch it out with a splitter and/or crystal, I wouldn’t even mind too much to pay for it, but nope, LIGHT armour class to MEDIUM, forget about it.

Really Anet, in the very minor chance this will be read, fix stuff like this ASAP. I’ve spent more money on this game then I ever did in the past for my WoW subscription, which I’d gladly keep doing in the future to support the game, your jobs and the further development of what is shaping up to be an interesting ride.

But for now, you won’t see one more cent until stuff like this is fixed. Really dissappointed in these user-unfriendly limitations.

All sides are getting personal. That’s a shame. I hope people don’t forget we are all just that… people. With lives, individual goals and own reasons to play this game and in this case WvW.

I don’t consider what other COIN members post to always be the same as my own opinion, so I’ll take it that what certain other guild members post (e.g. IRON members) are not the summarized view of their guild.

Truth is in the eye of the beholder, it seems. What a shock. How about everyone takes a deep breath and we’ll see eachother on the battlefield? With any number of PEOPLE that feel like joining their guilds’ squad in WvW that day/night?

Agreed. 5 min every… 30 min? I love the fact I can still use my abilities while transformed, but would love to see the duration increased.

Oh and I can’t use it in WvW, yet Ascalonian Mages can (and last 30min even for a consumable)? I don’t get it. :’ (

I enjoy difficult match-ups and I enjoy equal fights. Sadly, due to many factors, ALL sides make incorrect guesses on enemy forces and logically have different points of view of different situations.

Big respect for the rare moments we have equal fights with any other guilds. We are aware that in the current state of WvW it’s impossible do demand equal fights, but if possible we try to stay out of other equal fights and hope it causes others to do the same.
If it doesn’t happen, too bad, but if it does, respect to all involved.

SFR has given us both a few equal fights and plenty of outnumbered fights (which I’m sure SFR has had themselves, facing a deso zerg with fewer numbers), that’s just how it goes.

And just to point one thing out: We are NOT allowed to drop any form of siege in open field warfare in [COIN]. Ever. We’d get kicked about by our fellow guildies if we’d do something like that. So if EVER you see (and we only have about 23-28 people in ANY squad we run) arrow carts around a group of us, we didn’t put and do not plan on using it.

While I do wish that everyone can enjoy the content in a game, I do agree that starting to whine and cry out from day one is counter-productive and won’t change things for the better. Managing to kill the final boss on my own gave me a sense of achievement that I haven’t had (in a game) in a long time. I didn’t mind not getting a massive reward (though I’m grateful for PUG buddies!) , but reading these forums does make me a bit sad if I dwell here for too long. Guild Wars 2 has made massive jumps for casual players already (in contrast to about every MMO in the past), though I don’t believe that should mean they have to dumb down all the content in the game.

I was cursing when we we’re wiping on the laser boss, but as soon as everyone got the hang of it, we did manage to get the different phases down and again, being able to do that gave me more fun than rushing through content like a hot knife through butter.

I tried a search to find that video, but didn’t manage to find the post you refer to. Any chance you know where I can find it? Would love to see how a ranger pulled it off!

So, after managing to finally get a dungeon to work (Ellen kept bugging out on previous runs so we couldn’t get to the final boss), we managed to finish dungeon once and for all!

With my group dying véry early in the fight (again, we had quite a few attempts that ended in failure), I was the last charr standing and after what must have been forever, I managed to go through the entire fight (took forever, didn’t have that much damage) till the final stage.

Looking at this more as an achievement, I was wondering if other people had similar experiences?

Happy to answer questions or give tips about what I learned in that horrible long repetitive fight. (Not that I think the boss isn’t fun, just doing it on your own is stressy and very rotationgrind!) : D

My PUG team was cheering for me the whole fight through, making bets and eventually all sending me a goldpiece! Thanks, strangers!

Well we found the same panel, brought her to this panel/forcefield gate and now she stand still doing nothing same as OP.

Same problem here, stuck on different part of the instance…
