Can confirm. Extremely confusing at Matthias, I wasn’t sure if the break bar was missing or simply has never been there, good to know it wasn’t my brain fooling me and the break bar actually disappeared.
I came across this bug yesterday and considering that I’ve just started second legendary armour collection and need to do heart quests, it’s a really annoying bug, making the heart really hard to get. Sometimes (not always though) Cairn channels the spatial attack and no green circles appear. Then the attack goes through, and AFTER the attack (when you’re most likely lifted in the air, unless you luckily stood in an invisible circle or know the position of circles by heart) circles appear for a split second and disappear again.
If I remember correctly, it only happened with greens after the arm sweep attack, the greens that don’t require any minimum number of people to stand in them.
I agree, really annoying. I’m used to checking overloads by quickly scanning the UI in search for a bigger icon, it makes me really confused now when I want to quickly check my skills and all icons are the same size.
I’m refreshing this topic as the problem seems to have got forgotten. When are we getting some kind of compensation for the loot we missed?
Read the developer reply. There might or might not be loot — the bug prevented the game for recording the victory (even the API didn’t know), so there’s no easy way for ANet to know who was present during a successful encounter.
They might decide to reward everyone who took part in an encounter that last more than 10 minutes and who didn’t record a win earlier, which would be easier (and more generous). However, even that would take a lot of time to track down.
In other words: assume there won’t be anything to make up for the bug (no more than there has been for most bugs). And (I hope) be pleasantly surprised when they end up pulling a rabbit out of their Top Hat (bought at the gem shop, of course).
I did read their reply, that’s why I bumped the topic. And read what I wrote – since I got event rewards, just not the main chest, it looks like boss kills didn’t get registered, but dynamic events ‘Kill boss X’ were successful. Therefore, as long as they store the history of dynamic events, they should be able to find all info they need. Besides, I’m mostly bumping the topic because I want their final statement, positive or negative, doesn’t matter. Right now the attitude kinda looks like ’let’s tell them we’re investigating and then stay quiet, they’ll just forget’.
I’m refreshing this topic as the problem seems to have got forgotten. When are we getting some kind of compensation for the loot we missed? I always thought ANet had good customer support and treated their players with respect, I don’t want to change my mind on that subject
And don’t tell me it’s impossible, from my previous experience with customer support I assume logs store info on events completed by a character. I did get event rewards from bosses, just not the main chest, so the info about having completed those events should be there.
