While I have accepted to enter the story once on one of my characters is not possible to quit the story again.
I am pressing the quit playing this episode button, the notification on the upper-right side of the screen is sliding away and then sliding back on the screen.
I’ve seen this immediately after the patch has been applied. Even if I am salvaging less than 10 rares per day, that was obviously visible.
I believe this is just another knee-jerk reaction form where ANet after the launch of the API which gave us the possibility to gather rares easier, just because the rare drop rate was nerfed before and we are trying to circumvent the low drop rate by farming the “one rare” events.
For those who are waiting for a fix, I wouldn’t have high hopes of even acknowledging a bug, if that’s even a bug and not intended. Also most of the devs posting here have no clue about these drop policy changes. The standard response: “we fixed the drop rate since it was higher than previously intended”.
It is not the only NPC which is doing that. Instead of addressing NPCs individually why don’t you give us the possibility to either mute them as per se or a configuration option to mute all the NPCs which are not part of the story mode.
In that way we could have a QUIET and SPAM FREE game experience.
Aurora Glade, Gandara and Desolation EU servers, all missing the snow covered objects. Even more the refugee road markers are missing the interractive scripts. On AG earlier I saw a elevator module with controls and everything spawning instead of the snow covered objects. ANET this was already ridiculous 2 montsh ago.

And the balance is … where ? Also if you give them the possibility to spike so high, could please provide us with means to counter it ? As a necro I do not have time to Consume Conditions, if I do it is already too late and the skill is either interrupted while channeling or the heal is actually not working because I am already downed. I also do not have a jump or a teleport other than a worm which takes another 2 seconds to channel. I dodged warrior kill shots before so l2p or quick reflexes are not the case. Whatever you would say the thief is unbalanced and overpowered because it HAS the possibility to trait likewise. That being said I am going to hide my Knight warrior 15k kill shot which btw takes about 15 seconds to build in adrenaline, not 2 seconds.

I was doing the Temple of Grenth event over the weekend and I came across a possible bug.
Description:
After acquiring the ‘realm of grenth’ buff in order to damage the Shades I started fighting about 4-5 shades at a time while trying to kite them out of Jonez and also stay away from the fall damage. I was hitting the shades happy that everything goes according to plan. I did not took any kind of damage since my HP bar was full and not many damage entries in the logs.
I got suddenly downed in the middle of the shades and it was definitely not falling damage, no red circles, nothing. I am checking my Combat log. No damage whatsoever.
Could ArenaNet care to explain what kind of damage instant downed me, without falling through the roof and without any damage in the combat log ? Or is this part of the shady ways Grenth is fighting from the other part of the room and obviously outside his range. Shall we get prepared for another kind of ‘mystery bug’ damage ?
Nothing needs to be changed, the code is already there. The only operation needed to fix this issues is the SVN rollback to the code prior the LoS “fixing”. Devs do the SVN rollback and release a new build. Bugfix ETA is hours not weeks.
My experience with other MMOs that had summoned, autonomous pets is that they have to have many small/frequent attacks/behaviors rather than powerful/infrequnt behaviors to be satisfying to the owner – we have no control over them and no way of seeing their internal cooldowns, so the only way to tell they are doing something is when they DO SOMETHING. If another player stood there unmoving for 6 seconds in the middle of a fight the most charitable thing you might think is “huh, maybe he’s DC’d” and the more likely assumptions would almost certainly set off the kitten-filter
. Please don’t make us wonder if Phantasms have cute furry kittens between their digital ears.
Maybe slow, high-risk spike damage is critical to the mesmer play experience, but I bet many players would be happy to see their phantasms a little more mobile and doing half-to-a-third the damage on each attack if they did those attacks two-to-three times as often! iZerker is so dang slow to act (even before the patch) I’m constantly wondering if the script hung…
Sidebar: if the example exists of necromancers having a trait that makes their marks unblockable, does the tech exist to make a trait where a mesmer’s phantasm summon-clicks are unblockable? Getting the little pink fiends on the field more reliably could be a very desirable addition to many builds…
The phantasm is the only reliable range AOE cripple the mesmer has. The GS phantasm WAS the only way to cripple a piece of zerg hunting you down. Now playing a mesmer is a utter frustration, both pve and wvwvw. Not even talking about sPVP where now GS cannot be even used properly due to the script time out or slow casting.
I am sorry to say but there was no delay in the phantasm attack, or maybe it has been seen as a no delay because of the phantasm rendering time. Now the phantasm is getting killed instantly and I also think that the Inspiration line traits like phantasmal strength and persisting images are not kicking in anymore.
I have also tested the GS phantasms on the heart of the mists golems and my first reaction was : this must be a joke, since I have been waiting for the phantasm initial hit fix but instead I am now doing even less DPS than before.
Also if we mesmers are such magical creatures could someone responsible for the Lore behind the mesmer profession explain me WHY do we need line of sight when creating an illusion. The mesmer is not creating the illusions with its eyesight but with mental powers which I am sorry to say that are not limited by the terrain or whatever walls we have in front of it.
Something however is telling me that the process of bug fixing is completely wrong.
I could not understand what your QA testers are doing if they are not able to spot such trivial mistakes. Also something is telling me that whatever project manager is overseeing this bug fixing process should be fired, named and ashamed so he cannot work as a PM ever again since these new bugs every bugfix release builds are obvious his failures.
/salute KISS from UNTY, thanks for the Titans fun, seems like the warrior/guardian zergs are coming to an end, once your burst is gone you fall like flies in the winter’s cold. We wiped couple of times but your burst mistake was our win. In the end I had to get my bags empty and go back into the big house to collect the rest of it.
Yesterday in the evening right after an army of 12+ gandara golems, including an omega one tried and failed to take the EB Aurora Glade overlook a player from our server bought the useless guards for the overlook which practically wiped 1000 supplies from the keep.
That player was obviously a saboteur since it has impacted greatly on our repair efforts.
It would be a nice option to see who bought the upgrades to a certain location. Secure this by allowing access to this logs to the current claimant of the location. Yes, it is that easy to wipe 1000 supplies.
I have been using the GS berseker only for cripples, since it has such a low HP. Great for crippling zerg carvings. Anyway this bug needs addressing. Also I would propose ANet to stop developing new content since all the bugs are fixed at least till the holidays. New features embargo = ON
I believe that ANet current policy is to nerf everything pushing the paying customer from a profession to another and when you are done with all the car hitting 80 bugger off GW2 because we load their servers too much. Way to break a class ANet. Feels more and more like a Chinese free MMO. I am also expecting this post to be censored.
