Which Class Would You Recommend ?

I can’t speak to being a power player or anything like that, but I’ve found Ranger to be a great class for solo’ing. Having the pets to draw enemies and then dishing out serious damage with long range weaponry is terrific.

Today my client started working (see below). No idea what changed.

When I say working, it should be noted that I am only at the point where the client is downloading the game. Still, this is an improvement from trying to launch GW2 and not seeing any window load at all. Will report back if I am able to launch the game.

Seems like persistence is the only fix. Doesn’t raise my confidence in whether the game will run, but I hope everything works!

Also same issue. I have an MBPr 2013 w/ OSX 10.10.1 and have had no luck getting GW2 to run on this computer.

My symptoms are as described above – client launches but no windows pop up and no action appears to be taken.

It also took a while to get the installer to work; it didn’t report any problems with installation but it took a week for it to actually see any amount of free space on my computer (despite installing while I have 50GB+ free).

I have a MBPr with OSX 10.10.1 and had this issue. I had over 60GB free and the installer was only seeing 11-16GB. I tried running the installer a few times over the course of about a week or so and the installer finally saw that there was enough space free to install!

However, it still only saw 28GB free when I still have over 50GB.

I soldiered on and installed earlier today but I’m not positive it installed properly. The Guild Wars 2.app seems to start but no windows open and nothing else happens. So there’s that.

Anyway, just keep checking back on it, I think the installer should eventually see your free space. I don’t know if this matters or not, but I regularly (around every day or so) start and and shutdown my computer due to a work thing; that might also do something to help the installer see the space but I have no idea.
