I get this as well, it’s especially prominent in PvE areas such as where tequatl event happens. Only happens in WvW occasionally. I have all the latest drivers & BIOS/UEFI for my hardware. It doesn’t happen in any other games and it’s incredibly frustrating.

I have a fairly decent PC (3570k @ 4.4, 8GB RAM, gtx 670 OC, SSD) and yet this game constantly stutters, has random FPS drops, barely get 100 fps constant in wvw skirmishes of 10vs10 with everything on lowest. worst of all is alt-tabbing, if i alt-tab to go onto gw2wiki i lag for the next half minute and fps drops. this is all on a brand new install of windows 8 with all the latest drivers for my hardware.
wvw has gotten to the point where our guild has to run separate groups of 20 people max (+PUGS) because it’s unplayable for people with weaker computers. coming up to massive engagements 40vs40 in garrison or bay/hills you can see your game slowing down before you even see the enemy and your skills don’t even do anything and you have to resort to just 1-spamming to even have any effect.
