Anti-Condition Feedback

I’ve tried this on my condi mesmer and just looked for ele conjure weapons (fiery GS, ice bow) to pick up to deal damage during the condi reflect stages. Of course, this isn’t too reliable cause you might not always have people spawn enough of them, but it’s one way to still be useful during the condi-reflect stages when you’re running a condi build.

You could also pick up a banner and do some stabbing if you’re desperate, but that’s rather suicidal. =)

Why 3 seperate fights on the Breachmaker?

People are still zerging up when one of the knights dies faster than others, they just run over to another instead of waiting and entering from their portal, despite my warnings that this will ruin the next stage.
I did 2 fights today and 2 times there were 2 full platforms and the third one with about 15 people or fewer, doomed to fail again. I waypointed and entered from all 3 portals to make sure that the other 2 were full, I got thrown into the same almost-empty platform every time.

It would be great if the designers could find a way to fix this issue, maybe implement some debuff that you get if one knight dies while you have its attuenment, to make you useless against others.

Seems like this isn’t an issue any more after the latest update. People have finished the holo fight on all 3 platforms on my server just now, the slowest group slightly less than 5 minutes before the time ran out.
Good job encouraging people to split instead of zerging around the map. =)

Thanks for your input, everyone. There are 3 platforms indeed, my bad there. Although there aren’t ever enough people to even fill 2 from what I’ve noticed.

I’ve done some more research and I’m pretty sure I see how it works now.
It does depend on which portal you enter from and it is not even distribution between the 3 platforms.
- if you enter from the green knight site, the primary platform that people get sent to is the northern one, while the secondary is the southern one,
- if you enter from the red knight site, the primary platform is the southern one, the secondary is the eastern one,
- (this one’s a guess based on the other two I’ve confirmed it now) if you enter from blue, eastern is primary, northern secondary.

On the server I’ve just been on the zerg killed the red knight last, and I’ve entered from the green knight’s portal instead. There were two people, including me, at the hologram boss at the northern platform that I ended up on. After a couple of minutes I went to enter from the blue knight’s site instead, and ended up on the eastern platform. It had the usual secondary platform killing rate, which means, far too slow.
The southern platform finished the boss fight 10 minutes before the time ran out (I know cause I was in a party with a person who went in there from the red knight’s portal). The eastern platform failed, obviously. We’ve only managed to reach the second phase (holo splits into 3) at 6 minutes left. No chance to finish the event with our damage output.

Rising Dusk, I suppose that your overflows killed the red knight last, not the green one? That would explain why southern one was successful there.

I have been on platforms where the hologram fight was won, so I can see that the difference between how the fights go on the platforms that win and those that don’t seems too big and too consistent to be a result of how well the players play the game.

(EDIT: I originally thought there were 2 platforms, not 3, so the OP is slightly imprecise, more info in my next post)

After killing the three Assault Knights we enter the Breachmaker to continue the fight. Why do we get split up into two groups then to do the same fight in 2 different locations instead of everyone fighting together?

I’ve noticed that while the group at the northern spot does not have problems succeeding in the event (finishing it easily with 5-10+ minutes spare), the southern one – from my experience – ends up struggling and always failing (though I guess there might have been instances where it succeeded). Seems like they are the ‘leftovers’ that didn’t enter fast enough to make it into the northern fight, and they end up not having enough people to win.

Now I feel I need to race to the portal if I want to stand any chance at winning the boss fight, and I feel sorry for all the people who are thrown into that southern fight and pretty much doomed to fail.

LFGuild that does scarlet invasions "properly

By properly I mean finishing the event – defeating Scarlet. It’s been a while since I saw that happening, and I find it much more fun than being a zergling and trying to hit champions before they die

Issues with getting in dungeon instances

Network Error here too (error code 1006), in Fractals, preventing cross-continent playing. We’re on a European server and we wanted to play with people from American servers. When one of us got in first, only the European players from the party could join in, the others got the error. And we got the error when the American ones went in first. We had to give up in the end. :/

[Necro skill bug] Life siphon's range too small

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

The skill Life Siphon’s (necro main hand dagger #2) description says that its range is 600 – but, it appears to be smaller (my guess would be it’s somewhere between 400 and 500, but that’s just a guess).

What makes me think it’s smaller?
Well, there are those red lines below your skills that appear when the target is out of range – with Life Siphon it often happens that you’re out of range even if the red line isn’t there (and the red line displays just the same as for another range 600 skill, Dark Pact, that’s right next to it on the skillbar, so it isn’t the problem).

Easiest way to reproduce this?
Just approach an enemy until the red line below the skill disappears. Then use Dark Pact (or another range 600 skill) – it works just fine. Then use Life Siphon – you’ll get a stream of “Out of range!” popping up. And you need to take quite a few steps forward for the skill to start working (assuming your target doesn’t move, naturally).
