If you don’t mind me saying so, it may be worthwhile adding some information about what kind of guild, other than ‘active’, you’re looking for. For example, are you interested primarily in PvP or PvE, or are you wanting a mix of both (commonly referred to as PvX)?
But this suggestion aside, the guild I’m with is currently recruiting. We’re called The Forgotten Vanguard, and are based on Gandara, with most of our playerbase in the GMT 0/+1 timezones.
We’re a small, but active guild, with a playerbase of around 60 members, and average 15 – 20 online and repping each night. Most of us have commitments outside of the game so we understand that real life comes first. As for game content, we run organised guild events regularly (scheduled every other day for the most part) that include Fractals, Dungeon Runs, Guild Missions and WvW sessions. Outside of the organised events you’ll also usually find plenty of people running adhoc dungeons, WvW groups or just goofing around. The atmosphere in the guild is friendly and relaxed, and people take the time to get to know one another.

You might want to check out The Forgotten Vanguard, we’re a PvX guild based on Gandara.
The guild has a playerbase of around 60 members, so we’re not huge. We average 15 – 20 folks online and repping most nights. The guild has organised events pretty much every other day, that include dungeon runs, fractals, guild missions, WvW etc… The guild is very friendly and laid back, and people are very willing to help out other members with things.
We have a mumble server to help with guild events/groups, or just to shoot the breeze with your fellow guildies. We have no strict requirements, although we’d obviously like you to rep and get involved and have fun with us! A lot of us have commitments outside of the game, so we understand that people can’t play for hours on end, every day of the week, this isn’t a problem.

I’m not sure if you’re aware or not, but world transfer has a gem charge attached to it. If this isn’t a problem then you might want to check out The Forgotten Vanguard, we’re an active guild based on Gandara(EU), with most of our playerbase being on GMT 0/+1.
We regularly run all types of PvE content, as well as dipping into WvW. We have no mandatory requirements, although obviously we’d like you to rep the guild! We have guild events organised most days of the week, but attendance is on an “if you’re available and want to have some fun, come along” basis, rather than a “you must be here” one! Most of us have commitments outside of the game so perfectly understand folks can’t be on all the time!

I was recently looking for a guild and had very similar criteria to yourself, happy to say I found my home with with a guild called The Forgotten Vanguard, which is based on Gandara(EU).
The guild is well organised and has guild events most days, including dungeon runs, fractal runs, WvW, Guild Missions, and just general goofing around. I’m not going to lie, sometimes we do speed clear dungeons, but there’s plenty of opportunity to take things at a slower pace with the help of your guildmates! The guild is active, with a playerbase around the 60+ mark, and roughly 20 or so people online and repping most nights and usually doing various different things together. Since joining I’ve experienced a wealth of PvE and PvP content that I hadn’t before, including multiple dungeon runs in experienced guild groups despite my gear being crap, and me having never run them before!

I recently found myself in the same position as you, that of looking for an active guild to experience all that GW2 has to offer, and I’m happy to say I found my home with a guild called The Forgotten Vanguard (TFV).
TFV is on Gandara(EU), and whilst it isn’t a huge guild, it does have a core of very active players (with about 20 or so online and representing during peak hours).

Recently joined this guild myself, and have to say I’ve been having a blast, been made to feel very welcome and had the opportunity to experience a lot of content (dungeon runs, fractals, WvW, Guild missions) on a regular basis.
The guild isn’t huge, so you can get to know the people you play with, but there always seems to be someone around willing to help you out!
I looked carefully at a number of guilds before I contacted TFV as I wanted a fun, active place to experience all GW2 has to offer, and I have to say I definitely feel like I made the right decision in joining TFV.

Thanks very much for the response! Whilst your guild does sound like the kind of thing I’m looking for, unfortunately, as my post states, I’d prefer to stay on Gandara atm. Should probably have also mentioned in my post that I’m EU based, whereas I notice you’re based on a US server. But thank you for taking the time to post your info, it’s appreciated.

Greetings guild recruiters! As the title states, I’m on the lookout for a mature, active guild to call home.
Here’s a little info about me; I started playing GW2 during beta with a few friends, and formed a guild with them when the game launched. For one reason or another we all stopped playing for a while. Recently a couple of them started playing again, and bugged me to start, so I did, and joined the new guild they had joined. Lo and behold they stop playing again, and I find the guild they’d joined is incredibly inactive. However, I’ve found myself rediscovering my love for the game, and wondering why I ever stopped playing it!
As a result of this I find myself looking for a new home for my main, Lilithia Wraithbane (80 Necro) and associated alts. Ideally I’d like the following from any prospective guilds:
- Active – 40/500 members online, only 3 of whom are repping and all doing their own thing is no fun… if I’m going to be in a guild, I’d like the other people in that guild to actually want to be there too, and maybe, just maybe, even… you know… do stuff together? (is that too much to ask?)
- Mature – I’m 31, and, despite being constantly told I’m a big kid, I’d like some semblance of maturity =]
- Casual friendly – I’m married, with a defective cat and a hyperactive puppy so I can’t be on 24/7, an understanding that RL comes first is appreciated.
- PvX – I’d like to sample all that GW2 has to offer, even if I suck at it, I’d like to at least try!
- Sociable – /g chat that actually gets used, friendly banter, fun atmosphere. I play games to have fun, and I like to shoot the breeze with my fellow guildmates whilst running around not in a group!
What you can expect from me as a guild member:
- 100% Rep – If I’m online, I’ll be repping, don’t see the point in partial repping.
- Friendly – I’m a pretty laid back and sociable kinda guy.
- Helpful – If a guild member needs help, I’m available and have the ability to assist, I will!
- Voice Comms – If comms are used/needed for guild events I have a headset, and currently have mumble/TS3 installed.
- Active – I tend to play for a couple of hours most days at the moment, if I had guild events to attend, I might even play more!
Whilst “we’re awesome – apply here” posts are fine, an opportunity to speak to a guild rep in game would be cool, so we can get a feel for if you’re a fit for me, and if I’m a fit for you. But I’ll happily read any info posts and check out any guild links posted, although I’m not looking to change servers, so Gandaran guilds only please.
