I’m coming back to gw2 after a long hiatus. Apparently I did some trading before I left because after visiting black lion my entire inventory is full of stacks of onions. So I need to liquidate thousands of onions now without crashing the onion market. What do?
I’m coming back to try gw2 (and apparently timing it well if I’m going to be here for a new season) and have decided my first character is going to be a warrior.
I generally prefer soloing in games so I thought I’d try getting to endgame completely solo without spending a ton of time playing the auction house or anything. Also seemed like a potentially fun challenge. I was wondering if there’s a nice progression of dungeons or similar gold sources that you can run while still gearing up or if you really need end game gear to be able to solo reasonable amounts of gold per hour.
I was also wondering if there were any good resources for solo warrior like guides on specific dungeons, tips on a progression, general solo advice, etc.
Thanks!
Sorry if this is a common question, I did a google search and didn’t find anything with the type of information I was looking for.
I was wondering what the general characteristics of the different servers were in the interest of choosing one. For instance servers that generally attracted more roleplayers vs WvWers and etc. I remember at release hearing about some server that most of the gw1 pvp community was choosing if anyone remembers that.
Just for posterity I fixed the issue. I tried downloading in another language which didn’t work, but I noticed that when I did this the download didn’t totally reset, it kept previously downloaded files. So by alternating between different languages I was able to successfully install in pieces which there didn’t seem to be an option for otherwise in the mac client.
Something else that might be relevant and is definitely annoying:
Whenever I log in to my gw account it wants me to go through email verification even though I’m on the same computer connected to the same internet with very little time between logins.
I just bought the game and have been trying to download the client multiple times for a mac. Each time it gets ~3/4 of the way then says ‘Download Failed… (1)’.
I tried giving gw and the gw installer permission for my firewall and then disabling the firewall completely and it still happened.
Most of the advice I’ve found is for windows so I want to know if there’s anything I can do to fix this on a mac. One thing to note is that I have sketchy internet that can sometimes cut out for as much as a minute. But one time I saw this happen and the installer paused instead of canceling the installation so I don’t know if that’s relevant.
