Another vote for Commander Commander Jadon on TC. He embodies everything that the players love about being on TC and the things that other servers love about playing against us. He is awesome. I’m calling dibs on Jadon should Anet ever introduce marriage into the game.
On behalf of Tarnished Coast I'd like to apologize to Crystal Desert in Dragonbrand Borderlands

Yah, I just heard about this. not happy. Well, look for us on the battlefield. we will still fight because everyone likes a good fight, no reason to let the hackers win, i for one will be disregarding the score. I just want some good battles. Look for the fireworks team. Lets have some fun.
My .02
Having a lack of trinity sounds amazing in theory. In gw2 we get to see a version of this in practice. Im not sure it lives up to its theory based on the current designs.
There is the potential there
Chaotic fights that require greater levels of coordination
Changing roles means evolving responsibilities for players
No pigeon hole for classes
Fights can be designed more freely- dont have to watch for tank/healer problems.
etc etc etc its all been discussed.
Here is the problem, and i find these are made even worse for melee characters
The chaos means you spend more time running around or standing around doing nothing. My thief is useless to my friends.. a lot. Depending on how AOE goes down or weird timing with adds and special abilities of bosses I am finding that I spend a large amount of timing running around the “outside” of the action waiting for my next in. Maybe that is the intent of the design? I just feel useless. That isn’t fun.
several days going on Tarnished coast as well.
Thanks for the advice Furienify, but i find it hard to believe that the intention of the design is to only work with a proper combination of classes using abilties that work perfectly for that one fight. That flies in the face of everything Anet says about the game. IF we have to fine tune our group to individual mob pulls.. i think there is a problem. Tuning for a dungeon, sure.. but not to each individual mob pull. Although I could be wrong. I was reading the reddit thread and apparently im not the only person bothered by this change. Several people commented that mobs are making people give up and move on. Like i said, im all for challenges but this seemed a little over the top.
Again though, im willing to admit maybe im being a sissy, so any other tactics that could help us get through this i would appreciate. And if we need to tune for the mobs of this dungeon to beat it.. so be it i guess.
I really dont understand why so much hate over “night tactics”. ITs a 24hr battle. That happens. In war, people attack at night. Get over it. Mobilize a night time for or suffer.. that is just how it is.
I mean, what about day time fighting? a lot of people work, they cant do anything so… or people who play from other countries.. Im an American in Japan, so im 12hrs off from my friends. Sometimes we cross over, thats late at night/early morning.. so should I not be allowed to play because 6pm Friday afternoon for me is 5am fri morning for you?
Was there a change. Any info or help would be appreciated.
Today, 5 80s, in SE and were murdered by the first group. Never ending spawns of grenadiers that AOE a space you cannnot escape. We pushed past them, killing the golem thinking that would stop them and nope. Went to pull first boss, they are still chasing us. I mean, I dont mind a challenge. But there is literally (to me) no space to maneuver out of the constant barrage that basically 3-4 shots you.
Our War Song !!
did it with another player, both of us 80, im a guardian, shes an ele, she got on the tank, i was mortars, we were swarmed, i died first, cant restart from checkpoint until she dies, she dies, we come back, all allies are dead, we cant rez people without dying, we cant use the tank/mortars without being swarmed and killed. Bad guys just keep coming. More repair bills for doing personal story.. awesome.
Through the looking glass, same char as above.
I chose quaggan line, after first part when you respawn, quaggan are nowhere to be found, saved one or two people before moving into that hallway leading to eye for second fight. took some pics. Trahearne just stands there after convo (see pic, thats him in the back scratching his head), not sure if intentional. Died, when running in I saw quaggan dead outside the instance border, by shuffling along the border trying not to get kicked i finally got 3 of them rezzed before heading down that hallway. again getting swarmed and my friends (quaggan) go down super quick. by the time i can rez one, more rizen have respawned. again, not sure if this is intentional, but it doesnt feel like im fighting through a swarm of risen, it feels like im fighting the same repawning mobs over and over because all my help is getting two-shot. I have to die and run back, finish anything still alive, rez, fight respawn.. inching forward. Went to turn in quest and did air ship quest, didnt have problems with that part. No deaths. This is from through the looking glass. another 6 silver and 38 copper.

Jeff keeps asking for specifics so we need to start flooding him with them. There are several threads about this and the general concensus about what needs tuning is “all of it” which he claims isnt helpful. So, instead we need to start listing them mission by mission, class by class.
Like most of you Im tired of it. I can deal with the bugs at launch, having to try 5-6 times on several quests to get them to work correctly, but then, even when it does work, its still costing me money and making me frustrated. So, Just start giving him what he wants.
Level 73 Guardian, spec’d into toughness wearing toughness gear. greatsword sword shield. The personal story for level 71 where you deliver the sad news about tonn. Mobs spawn, all are marked invulnerable, I die, I reset from checkpoint, run down the hill, entire camp is dead, I get swarmed. I kill 2-3, die, run back, kill 2-3, die, run back.. etc until the entire camp is clear. Quest reward? Boots worth 49 copper that I can use, and no extra money, I was perfect before I started the quest as there is a heart there in Trinity, screen shot of my cost for doing this quest. My personal story is trying my patience, and its costing me money. I’m following A-net guidelines, they said as a player we should ask ourselves if “we are having fun?”. This.. not so much.
Throwing my hat in for hating Traeharne. Also reminds me of Kormir.
Pale Tree: “Hey Player, heard about the crazy stuff at claw island. Way to pull out an epic save though, and amazing stuff you did with your order. also sorry about your friend who believed in you enough to sacrifice themselves so you could continue to fight. Oh by the way, I have this Ancient Legendary Sword that might be of use.. soo… im just going to hand it over to this other guy who has been doing lots of studying. You two should hang out. Thanks”
Seriously? I liked the idea of playing an important role behind a commander. Made a lot more sense than other games where im supposes to be THE hero just like every other player.. but for the love of puppies not to this guy. He is knowledgeable and a born leader.. except im hearing " commander… a word.." every 5 seconds before I get sent off to check on something or rectify a situation where I return to find leaders congratulating him. And.. the only person who I have to rez more than him is Logan, but its very close. You would think that someone.. somewhere.. may learn to trust me with a super weapon… seeing as I constantly have to save the people who have them.
