Just an update for my problem: I tried reinstalling, but I couldn’t even get it to install, because it gave me the same problem as before, where the download speed would drop to 0 KB/s and then error out.

same problem too. Tried the fixes, and they didn’t help.

Just wanted to say I’m having the same problems too, and I tried the same things (flushing the DNS, as well as the suggestions in the post linked above)

Hi, I was trying to update to the holiday update today (I haven’t logged in since before that release went through). For all prior updates (since August 2014, when I started playing), I had absolutely no problems downloading the updates. Today, though, I’m having trouble.

The download starts out normal, but the speed slowly drops until it reaches 0 kb/s. If I leave it alone entirely, it gets to about 100 KB downloaded before it says “Connection error(s) detected. retrying” Then it freezes and I have to use the task manager to exit out of it entirely. The time it takes to get to this point is about 2-3 minutes.
