Pulled out my wireless adapter, it now displays x16, set power management to best performance, it still drops me to about 1-5 fps when panning around my character until it “loads” the map. I will update my bios next and get back to ya.

in windows options, its set to high, pci express link power state is set to off, in nvidia power management is set to adaptive. While running guild wars 2 still says running at x8, is there anything in the bios that would fix this?
still says its running at 8.0, any more help would b great
oops, so looking at this http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8Z77-V_PRO/E7198_P8Z77-V_PRO.pdf, it says that the slot my card is now is 16x, but it only runs at 8x, il put it in the other slot really quick
So I looked on the motherboard and the motherbpard manuel and it says that it is in a pcie 16x slot, i tried multiple slots with a 16x emlem on them, I blew some dust off in the slot, but it still says its running at 8.0 on that program.
Make sure the slot on the motherboard is actually a x16 slot. Try removing & cleaning the contacts and reinserting back in the slot.
Ok, il give it a try.
GPU PCI-e bus running at x16? (check via GPU-Z)
Ran it and under bus interface it says pci-e 2.0×16 @ x8 2.0, if I hover over it it says its running at 8.0, how do I change it? Thank you for reply.
This has happened to me ever since I got the game a few months ago. After I login and it gets me into the game its fine if I just sit there. 60 fps with v sync. If I pan around my character it will drop to 1 fps until I do a complete 360 around my character. It seems to be loading the game, because after I do this its fine until I load into another area, which it will then do it all over again. I asked some people in my guild if this happens to them, they said no. Just wondering if this happens to anyone else, and if not how can I fix it.
