Because you are using Smiter’s Boon in the Valor line, you could take a different heal skill, perhaps one that heals more, and then get healed from the meditation, Smite Condition, activating. You could get around 10k heal off Signet of Resolve this way, or because you have some traits based on blocking, such as Invigorated Bulwork, you could use Shelter.
I run a meditation build and I find the survivability to be pretty good although I run a mix of Soldier’s, Zerker, and some other stats to get more vit and toughness. I also use runes of the Pack. Maybe try some other stat combos?
