The amount of glory needed to go from current r45 to current r55 will be the same as the amount of glory needed to go from future r52 to future r80. So yes, it is fair, as far as that logic goes. It doesn’t change much for those players.

Well mainly I am wondering what will happen to say rank 45 and such? I know you said rank 50 and up will go to dragon does that Rank 40 will go to Phoenix or no? Are you just pushing up rank 50s and making the rest lvl like normal?

Rank ~45 will go to ~52. Ranks 39->54 got rebalanced to be linear 39->80.

As they will have the most amount of gold and gems and those are the only things you now need to get anything in PvP.

So the changes to PvP:
-Instead of getting full acces to traits, skills and amuletts etc. you now will have to pay for them in PvP.
-Instead of “Style” being tied to you progression in the rank sysem, you now can simply buy everything or use you PvE gear
-Everything achieved via PvP in the past e.g already unlocked skins, glory boosts, crafting mats will become worthless.

But at least they are fixing the meta with proper Balancing. Oh, wait…

Oh, I also forgot, how much I appreciate it, that we now have to play dungeons (story) and the Living story for getting proper acces to dungeon armors.

As i said before Aragiel, this is not even supposed to be a ladder. This “ladder” just shows a fraction of the playerbase. Consider this, you need at least 40 players to even start a tournament. At the primetime there are at least 2 Tournaments in EU going on. That means 80 players, and tbh I don’t think (besides the usual suspects ofc) there always the same 80 players playing. Besides this there are constantly free tournaments going on, with some promising teams aspiring. Sure GW2 aint nearly as big as LoL or SC2, but time will tell how the game develops.

Nobody really consider this as a real ladder, that’s for sure. But the point of this thread, even though not as obvious as it could be, remain the same. There are about 5-10 teams who can win Paid tournament and few others who won Paid tournament once or twice. That’s a very shallow playerbase if you ask me.

The vast difference between Paid and Free tournaments should be looked on very soon. We simply need something in between, more options what to do. If you play casually, but on a decent level with decent group, you really don’t have much to do in the GW2 at the moment. At very best you can hope for some other team in Free tournament. Or you can go and try Paid tourney, hoping you will meet similar team not any of the top teams. In other times you get destroyed by the top dogs in Paid tourney or just wreck randoms in free tourney. Where’s the fun in that?

Threads like this repeats again and again, but we still don’t have any news on PvP front. We’ve (PvP players) expected so much of this game, and when the BWE’s got in, we’ve seen the potential of the game. But nothing have really changed since then. At least not for the players, can’t speak about the coding and game core of course.

Give us a bone ANet, we’re starving and slowly dying out of lack of the content.

Same issue here. Can’t join tournaments, can’t create roster, can’t accept tourney invite. Bugged out of tourneys for 10 days.

Can’t play tourneys for more than 10 days, which sucks donkey balls. Please look upon this issue, thanks a lot in advance.

Yeah, well tourneys was working for me just fine, untill last friday. I’m bugged since than and feel pretty much screwed.

The quick tournament “create roaster” button does not do anything … For me atleast. I click it, nothing happens. It seems to work for everybody else even with the same configurations/setup im having. I checked everything, tried searching for it on the internet but nothing. Its not that i cant read the menus… its that there is no menu to be read…Am I missing something? What is on the picture is the last thing that pops up(yes only that button which does nothing for me)

I’ve very same bug, and I’m waiting for fix. Not only you can’t create roster, you also can’t accept invite to tournaments from other players. You’re basically excluded from tourneys and you can’t do a s**t about it.

What I need is to be able to play tournaments in general. I have been stuck in a bugged out tournament roster for two days now and as I am part of a competitive focused guild this is incredibly frustrating. It’s nice that you guys are working on tournament stuff that you said you would work on but please fix this horrendous bug that seriously hampers the pvp experience for myself and others.

I’ve been told by Steve (our server programmer) that a fix just rolled out that should cover this.

Let me know if your issue is resolved in the next live build.

I still have issues with tourneys. Can’t create roster, can’t accept roster, can’t play tournaments. I’m heavily focused on PvP. and while hotjoin aren’t all that bad, this really ruins my game experience. I’ve report a bug on support, still no answer. If you can look upon this issue it would be swell. Thanks in advance.
