Well they tried to a counter it with the stability nerf. Anyways, I am just waiting for another game to appear since GW2 has lost its direction when it comes to game balancing and new expansions. Elemental borderlands and range heavy armor classes do not really make me want to play this game anymore plus the living story sucks, it really does… not to mention other critics I could also make about the game (mounts being the biggest). I must congratulate their account/interface updating team which has done a great job adding great features over the years now but balancing not great especially recently and story has not interested me at all since the beginning which I was actually excited after the dev interviews when GW2 was close to release.

yup new changes suck, WvW Frontline LOL things of the past now we stand with the backline and simply just spam virtues and shouts….YAY well time to start looking for another game. Play almost my entire gaming life GW and still consider it the best right now but if I can’t play melee then forget about. Not to mention its ALL about numbers now and now quality with these changes. Necro are now the masters of the blob….thanks Dev you killed my game!!! Killed it!!!!!!

If you don’t want the game to change, I suggest not picking up an MMO. Chances are, no matter what MMO you play, one day they’re going to have a balance patch that you won’t like. All MMOs do.

This is not a nerf or simple skill balance. Tthe devs destroyed the WvW experience. Never logged on after first week during which I gave it a shot. I accept change but not breaking the game to make pvp players more happy about a minor change. It has made WvW all about big range blobs. No skill no melee, please be constructive with your response since I did not state I do not accept any change but this change was really idiotic and unnecessary. GW2 has gone all “wiazrd/spells” with the focus on the new 3rd heavy class being range with spells, necros getting more upgrades and now stability useless in big group fights unless you run and dodge like a pack of wild buffalos. Done with again for another few weeks. Thanks GW2, please just stop updating the game if you are going to further WoW us (numerous useless expansion and updates from World of Warcraft).

I want new content that keeps it fun for all players not 60%…

More then mmo all online games that are updated at any time changes. Even offline games that are updated tend to changes now. If you do not like changes you do not like life.

Well I am done giving my opinion about balances. ANET created this support unbalanced years ago. Like the symbol of swift nerf which made us the group swiftness (bleep) and just slower when running solo.They have utterly failed at balancing the offensive lack that guardians experience but hey we never have been the killers and I accept that…seriously someone in here wrote that ANET has been trying to resolve our offense…with what spirit weapons OMG lol lol lol yeah I would be better with a level 1 grey greatsword/butterknife skill or better yet increase burning of 1 second cause that will make a difference in WvW with all the extra fire and/or condition removal. I could waste a lot more time on this but I already wasted enough. I will continue to be the (bleep) and say THANK YOU ANET!!!

The main problem with guardians is also the main issue with necros. The basic fact is, the condition system blows chunks and needs to over overhauled completely.

Having one burn per target is what kills guardians damage. There is no stacking of burns just stacking duration, which hur dur doesn’t help when they die in like 15 secs. They appear to be changing how conditions work but if you have a reliable way to generate condi immunity (whatever its name was) then that pretty much negates the entirety of the guardian class as the bulk of their damage revolves around a not so well thought out burn mechanic.

I’m still hoping the guardian specialization is something that focuses on pure offense and actually can kick some kitten .

Man you got me hoping burn stacks in intensity now instead of cover condis I was already hoping condi for LB with hexes like an improved version of GS #5. Need more info tough.

Have you guys not seen medi-guards in spvp? …

Range classes will now have the total advantage. How can a melee class beat a range class that they cant reach especially if it is a group of both of them.

Will there be any adjustments for boon durations classes such as Guards and Eles!!! (My guess they will never answer this question and the answer is no…)

Well thanks for making Guardians useless and powerless in A LOT of the game well pretty much everywhere nowadays. WvW will be a joke, let the range battles beginning Guardians get your staff and medi builds cause melee has been retired from the game. Not surprisingly they have not released any information about stand your ground, based on Dolyak Signet, it will be 3 stacks for 24 seconds that is nothing especially if it can now be taken off. Not to mention if you were a class with a lot invested in boon duration then it is useless. They nerfed retaliation, then might and now stability while all other dps classes receive upgrades but wait I forgot Guards have Spirit Weapons LOL LOL LOL when did any of you see someone use them and for good reasons…

For the people complaining about 10 stacks well its for 8 SECONDS then you are free to spam fear, immo, freeze, cripple and all other stuns on the melee class that you are going to own. Oh by the way, the cooldown for the signet is 60 seconds so you got PLENTY of time to throw a few extra shots cause your cooldowns will be done sooner. Have fun…

Again GW2/ANET making me want to leave/quit the game after another round of nerfs which will this time not only make my class for difficult to play and less competitive but will DESTROY gameplays. I guess they are really trying to sell the heavy armor no condition range attack god mode class with the new GvG. Who will want to WvW after these changes. Cant run up a choke point without whipping… Will start playing on my necro too bad I cant transfer my ascended heavy to him. Fear groups on the way. Anyways waste a lot of my time already on this crappy dev work and they never listen to any of my complaint or remarks, the ANET way is there way….

Next update will be fixing this issue so anyone can swap. No originators/starters. As for your idea of no swap allowed then am I suppose to take a hit in loot and experience to switch my character to one of my many 80s in order to allow the group to finish? I usually follow groups to the very end even if some are pretty bad pugs. I sometimes get my guard (been told many many times that I provide great support) or my ele (for ice bows and fgs) to help. Sorry but it must remain part of the game or I will leave new players who are struggling on their own instead of teaching and working hard for our success.

My suggestion would be quite simple. Let them know if they started that they cannot swap or even simpler indicating in your LFG no swapping. Cheers!!

This thread idea is pretty stupid. You know they tested it during the beta. It was awful because the caster simply ran sideways or teleported behind you cancelling your gap closer which still happens by the way all the time versus spells which never miss. A better suggestion for the original thread creator and some others who complain would be to recommend a distance reduction with some of them but also reduce cooldown to keep the fight fair. I have long complained that in combat melee class are left with much less mobility. You complain that you cannot kill us because we flee well did you notice we are unable to reach you that is a serious problem that is much bigger. Also you should specify for warriors since Guardians are now ranked 2nd slowest class in game. Lets start with making the fight fair then lets worry about who gets to garrison 5 seconds faster.

That would be great I can only imagine my server Borlis Pass being matched up to Yak Bends and Maguuma…no but I agree some more frequent rotation would be awesome. I am hoping we drop to tier 6 then the battles will be even fought. I am laughing at Kaineng who are excited to go up a rank.

I got it so AOE around then he will wait to attack during my cooldown and is I damage him too much he will stealth in combat then damage me sealth until I die. Thanks for the help. They require to balance. I agree in beta they required improvements but now they are the reverse. I am actually starting a thief. I cant beat them so I am going to join them…

1-Balance thief. I suggest adding 10 second cooldown once they attack before they can stealth. Another suggestion would be to reduce their movement speed when stealth and with their skills since quickness and unlimited stealth is rridiculous. I have been killed by many thieves whom I cant even hit since they stealth repeatedly. They slowly weaken me and I cannot strike them. I consider myself above average with my skills so averaging 25% success with thieves compared to a much higher 80% for other classes. I basically get killed almost all the time by thieves and win most of the other times. I have tried to change my strategy a few times but nothing can help counter their abilities.
2-Improve communication such as chat for other maps, allow siege weapons to be mark on map or rendez-vous and alert attacks. I would love voice so communication can be quicker instead of typing but I understand it asking a lot.
3-Outmanned buff should be stronger.
Also fix other exploits when possible please. Thank you.
