Guild Wars 2

thank all of you for taking your time and putting a word for me. I have so much free time so playing almost 9 or more hours a day. not very healthy haha.
Well i always thought people actually know a lot and i don’ t that’ s why i take very seriously reading forums.
Your comments made me think and realize at the end of the day i have to play for fun not to be the best. So thank you again, i will be getting better with my necro and enjoy the game.

When i first started playing gw2, i’ ve picked an elementalist and find it kinda boring. And stopped playing gw2 almost a year mostly because of my old laptop, so when that’ s being changed i wanted to try this game again and picked a thief. I find it so much fun, she is lvl 80.
Then i read if i want to do more real stuff like pvp, dungeons etc they are not that good and not welcomed. So i decided give it a try to others like necro, mesmer, guardian, warrior, rev. I really enjoyed playing rev and necro. Everytime i enjoy playing a proffession and feel like it could be my other main i like reading about them on forums or watch videos. And every single time people saying bad things about them. It feels like every profession sucks lol.
I was almost sure about my necro then looked and saw the topic named ’ why is necro so bad’ . And it immediatly made me think it wouldn’t worth it.

That is why i feel lost, for two weeks now i keep trying another profession and starting all over again after feeling discouraged.
I am sure even it is a hard profession to master but eventually it won’ t suck and people will accept me to their groups, i can master anything.
So i need suggestions to pick a profession. I am done with trying on my own.

Install as in running Gw2Setup.exe to install the game for the first time.

As a quick test, delete (or temporarily rename) the folder %appdata%/Guild Wars 2/, the file (if it exists) Documents/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat and in the folder where Gw2.exe is located, delete everything except Gw2.exe and Gw2.dat. If you have enough space, make a copy of Gw2.dat, which you can delete after. If there’s a problem with it, the copy will fail. You can then try running “Gw2.exe -repair” to check the file. After that, proceed to running Gw2.exe normally, and if it fails, begin the disk check for bad sectors.

Thank you so much, you really saved me I did as you said, and it took an hour to complate the scan and fixing. Now its working again without any error. Yay!

Open “Computer”, right-click the drive GW2 is on and select properties. Under tools, select error checking and begin the scan. If it’s your system drive, you’ll have to reboot. Keep in mind that this scan may take a few hours depending on the size of the disk. For a full scan, which will take much longer choose to additionally scan for bad sectors.

If you’re trying to install GW2, rename Gw2Setup.exe to Gw2.exe and simply place it wherever you’d like it to install to, for example, C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe.

Assuming you’re trying to install the game, you may also want to try doing so under safe mode with networking enabled. This will prevent other software from interfering. Press WindowsKey+R and open msconfig. Under the boot tab, check safe boot and network under that. Click OK and reboot into safe mode. To undo this, uncheck safe boot.

I will try the first thing you said.
I already have the game on my laptop, was just clicking shortcut where normally i got a log in screen and jump into the game next. So i get that error just after clicking it.
When you mean install, is that what you mean? Or do you mean installing as if getting it to my pc for the first time. Sorry i am kinda confused.

I have enough space on my laptop just saying cause i have no idea if it could be related to that or not.
If its smt. very simple or being talked on the forum before, i am sorry to write it again, ? couldn’t find smt. similar to this when i’ve searched on the forum.

I was really curious about GW2 and since its almost the only thing my bf keep playing, i wanted to try it out too.
I never played this type of games before maybe that’s why i feel really lost. My character is a norn elemantalist and all i do is simply running around and doing missions.
What i hear from people who plays it, how relax and great this game because basically you can do whatever you want. But till now, because i only do missions maybe it kinda bored me.
So please help me and suggest things, cause definetly i am missing a lot !
