SFR EB is lagging like hell right now, completely unplayable. We’re currently just waiting around for the lag to die out. More than 20 minutes already.
Should we call it a night, grab some popcorn and see a movie or is there any chance to actually play tonight?
only play sfr eb
The lag doesn’t seem related to what happens on the map (except for sm battles, those always lag).
I mostly roam with a small group, we keep as far away from any zerg, including our own, as much as possible, yet for the last month the game seems to lag 10% to a quarter of the time, and by lag I mean unplayable levels of skill delay.
Now, I have no idea what kind of load balancing you guys have, but because of the cyclic nature, the fact that it never lasts for too long (a coupe of minutes at most, usually less) and the fact that it seems mostly unrelated to what goes on on the map it seems like a lazy machine in a round robin algorithm.
Another thing that I was presuming for some time and that I became convinced last night is that sometimes, in a fight, only one side might lag. Some time ago an opponent joined my party after we defeated their group and asked how come we didn’t have lag when they did. Since then we noticed numerous times that in some fights, while we spam a skill for seconds at a time before it actually does anything, the opponents seem to not have any problems with that. Last night, being a particularly laggy session (our party got disbanded because people got tired of the lag) we went to lengths to check this.
Would a ping plotter snapshot help with anything? You can ask for specifics, there are plenty of guys here that could help with techy stuff.
I guess we shouldn’t expect an apology for being treated like little kiddies each time we complained about lag issues and you told us “get a better connection”?
In regards to chasing roamers, every time we kill one, we have another chance at getting a precursor.
yes, well, my problem was just the chasing part
why would 50 people waste a minute or 2 chasing someone they have no chance of catching?
it’s the reason most guilds and even zergs never chase roamers, you’re not going to catch one unless he’s afk
on another note, zerg tails have pathetic drops, I’m begining to think the precursor thing is a hoax
eb is all about pugs on all servers, but only piken zerg chases roamers
when passing an enemy group at over 2000 range, if it’s a guild, usually nobody breaks formation, if it’s a random zerg a few warriors break formation, if it’s piken the whole kitten thing comes after me
from what I’ve seen the weaker the server, the bigger the chance the zerg follows a roamer (the explanation there being that when you get your kitten kicked all over the place you are going to want to take it out on that lone roamer)
but piken do pretty well in open field, so why do they go out of their way to chase me?
I have a curiosity and some of you might be able to help me out. Why does the piken zerg chase after roamers?
It’s the only zerg that I know of that actively chases roamers. Seems like a waste of time, I doubt they catch anything very often.
I’m talking about the eb piken zerg, don’t really play on other maps but I’ve led them on chases more than once.
And I don’t mean 3 warriors separating from the main zerg coming after my party of 2, I mean the full zerg jumping off clifs or bridges and running in circles after us.
Other than that, it’s obvious everyone is taking it easy this round. Should be fun.
double teaming = moar bagz
yes, please
oh, and vizunah have been walking bags from day one
we always thought the whole server runs full magic find, we were suprised to see nothing changed after they removed magic find gear
maybe the guys all run low level armor
the worst part is we won’t get to fight Vabbi
not that we would indulge in any spawn camping activities, we just like taking the fight to the other guys
