The durations numbers in my head are a little fuzzy but 2 chaos armours (staff 2 through chaos storm and then staff 4) only lasts a combined 8 seconds so will only gives us 16% reduction. Mesmer high skill play giving worse results then other classes passive play again.
And another hit to condi Mesmers while no other condie build is touched.
Let me guess, this was another balance change that only effected Mesmers or did we see nerfs elsewhere this time?

The tooltip for Chaos Armor says 5 seconds. It looks like 5 seconds when I test. So wouldn’t that be 20% reduction?
I’ve been playing nothing but shatter since the patch dropped. I watched some of Supcutie’s stream and have been playing both his build and shatter + PU. Both use the new zerker derivative amulet with vitality (forget the name, sorry).

Supcutie’s build is far less forgiving and I find myself caught out in situations where I don’t have enough vigor to set up another spike or mitigate damage, but that’s because I’m not as good a mesmer player. I’m also not very comfortable with staff. When it was working for me it was working flawlessly, especially when I was dueling thieves and chasing opponents.
The PU build is just stupid. If you die running that build you either got supremely unlucky or really kittened up. Stealth, set up spike, rinse, repeat ad infinitum.
What if All’s Well That Ends Well (amazing name by the way!) transferred a number of conditions from allies in the well to enemies in the well when it ends? As it stands, the trait seems really weak.
This would reward exceptional well placement and punish poor placement while giving enemies the opportunity to GTFO from the well so counter-play is possible.

I’ve been playing Mesmer since release, but over time I’ve found myself drifting to other classes. I’d like to get back to my Mesmer roots, especially with the patch changes coming out. I’m interested in learning more in the PvP/WvW department and eventually getting involved with build theorycrafting.

every wvw session my guild does together, we field 15+ people, and have to do several group checks to see if we need to split groups further so every one has a group.
additionally we spend a great deal of time and effort asking where everyone is, simply because we can not see each other on the map.
This. So much this. It is so frustrating that we have to stop in the middle of ops to make sure groups get split when that 11th or 16th or 21st person joins. ANet could really improve the organizational aspect of WvW.
Amazing skill you have with the D/D ele! I’m inspired to switch back from support staff tonight! Also, the editing was top notch. I loved the zoom in on the UI at important times and the bar across the top that explains some of your thought process, etc.
